Spoil Me

Thank you very much to Renate for commissioning this episode!  This is the episode where Kovacs goes to a party that folks in the chat describe as "what the Capitol parties in The Hunger Games should have been more like" and i could not agree more. Also, our guy gets gripped up and I don't know what is happening.  Thank you so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episo...

Thank you very much to Renate for commissioning this episode!  This is the one where we find out that the person Kovac is working for is basically a serial killer, but I guess it doesn't matter when none of the women REALLY dies? Also, Ortega is out here stealing souls, so to speak, but I have a hard time faulting her for it. At the same time I understand what her mother is arguing as well. Also,...

Thank you very much to Renate for commissioning this episode! I'm so excited about this show! I had no idea what it was about but it turns out that the plot is kind of fulfilling a long-held wish of mine that I never thought would be realized. How exciting!  Thank you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode! Wanna talk spoilers? Join the Discord! https://discord.gg/rEF2KfZxfV...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where Jane and Rafael realize that they're going to have to come to some kind of custody arrangement, and Michael gets fired from the the force after a scathing article hits the front page. Meanwhile, Petra is trying to ensure that the twins get the same trust fund as Matteo.  Thanks so much for listening, and I wil...

Thank you very much to Samantha for commissioning this episode!  This is the episode where Jane and Xiomara are determinedly ignoring each other, and Jane is trying to ensure that she's going to get into the graduate program the following year. Meanwhile Petra's twin is out here stealing wallets and scratching faces.  Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new epi...

Thank you to Lauren for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Jane and Michael both have difficult bachelor/bachelorette parties and Jane winds up getting into a big fight with Xiomara. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Also, turns out that Petra has a long-lost twin!  Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode! Wan...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode!  This is the one where Jane and Michael are looking for a house, and a perfect one pops up but it's gasp! 35 minutes away! Lol. Meanwhile, Petra is really dealing with post-partum depression, and Rafael is plotting with Michael against his newly-discovered brother. And don't even get me started about Rogelio planning the wedding! Thank...

Thank you very much to Claire for commissioning this episode!  This one was super frustrating to me because there's a whole plot point about how Michael's parents blame Jane for their breakup and yet the fact that Michael had been continually lying to her is never brought up. Meanwhlie, Pablo Alonso Segura brings a curse with him, and Rafael finally meets his brother. Also, Rogelio is rescued from...

Thank you very much to Claire for commissioning this episode!  This is the episode where Jane and Michael get engages, Petra goes into labor with twins, and Rogelio tried (unsuccessfully) to overpower his kidnapper/stalker.  Yeah there's a LOT going on!  Thanks for listening, everyone, and I will see you soon with a new episode! Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this entire series! This is the episode where we find out whodunnit! But I still have questions! This was so much fun, and I am so glad I got to watch it all. Thanks for joining me, everyone!

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this one is all from Edgar's mother's POV and it's done in the heightened style of a 50s psychological melodrama which was super fun because it's something that I am not that familiar with. Her acting is so much fun, and it makes sense how she reacted in different places when we watched from other POVs because she seemed to be actually...

Thank you very much to Claire for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one that starts with Jane and Michael catching up after a long time apart and exclaiming over the adventures they've each had. I'm actually feeling pretty good about Michael at this point, but I am still very paranoid about him dying. In other news, Rogelio and Xiomara seem to really truly call it quits and Rogelio g...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode!  This episode was actually a lot more fun and interesting than I expected, and it kind of hit hard as someone with a small business desperately trying to stay afloat and struggling to get people on board. Also, the social media theme for someone trying to start a local business makes a ton of sense. I really enjoyed this one as much as it...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! So this episode centers mostly around Jane trying to lose her virginity...or at least her trying to PRETEND she's trying to lose her virginity. But unsurprisingly, she's held onto this mental image of what her first time would be like for so long, and she's BELIEVED in waiting for so long, that letting go of it all is not as easy as sh...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So here comes a really fun one, and I have to say that watching this show is really making me want to check out some of the movies in the genres they're spoofing. Ulysses is over here living this whole dramatic AF nomadic life after getting rejected by the (married) woman he loves, and it makes a lot of sense that Feng walked out of the re...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode!  So this episode is the one where Jane is having trouble dealing with her attraction with her advisor, and she's trying very hard to close the door behind her on that when she gets an unexpected green light. I'm so glad that we're going to explore this a little because the chemistry is REAL between them. Also really sorry for calling R...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this episode was....well, it was probably a contract requirement for Tiffany Haddish. But god there was so little about this that felt actually interesting to me, and I'm looking forward to getting back to the main mystery in the next episode. Thank you so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode! Wanna talk spoile...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! This episode we get to see the POV of the sexy second banana to Edgar, and while I'm supposed to think that Sebastian is an American conning his way into things by sheer cheek and a British accent, I'm really not sure I buy his whole story. Especially considering that he's painting Edgar to look like a kind of mastermind and I just was not...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where we find out that Grace was having an affair with Hannah, and it's all presented in the style of a Wes Anderson film. This was a really great POV that I think I will remember as one of the best of the series so far. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! I'm so glad that this show is willing to be so creative because man it's fun getting to see these different genres coming together, and I bet it's so much for for the actors to get to perform in wildly different styles. I really enjoyed that even though Travis fancies himself some sort of gumshoe, in the end he admits that while he may see...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! It's time for the series finale and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well wrapped up it felt considering they weren't sure it was their last season. I feel like they were careful to give us enough satisfaction just in case, and I really left the series liking where everything left off for our characters. Things feel very hopeful for ev...

Thank you so much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this is the first of the new character POVs, and I'm really enjoying seeing a whole new genre being represented on the show. I can't really tell from Grace's perspective how serious she really was about Edgar because it seemed like she was into him but...still having some second thoughts. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I wil...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where thankfully we pull back on some of the magical realism stuff with Eric and we focus a little bit more on some of the background issues that have been going on concerning the disabled characters and accessibility. I really dug this episode and I can't believe that I totally forgot to talk about Maeve and O...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! It's time to start a new season of Apple's The Afterparty, and we're going into a whole new event at Zooey's sister's wedding! Surprisingly, the wedding goes off (with several hitches) and the murder isn't until afterward. I'm genuinely bummed about the victim because he seemed so sweet, but we will have to see if all was as it appeared. T...

Thank you very much to Natalia for commissioning this episode! In this episode, I'm so excited that it looks like Jane is starting to feel things for her professor, and YES GIRL. HE FOINE. Also, there's a whole thing with Rogelio's mother being a mess and him having to fire her, and it actually ends up serving Xo's cause even though she doesn't know it yet. Thanks so much for listening, and I will...
