Spoil Me

Thank you again so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! We're returning to the world of Kyralia and Imardin, and we're already about to leave it! Well, at least a few of us are leaving...and I'm curious about what the plot will focus on for those characters that are remaining in the city. I suppose we're going to be zeroing in on these murders? For Dannyl and Lorkin, it's going to be a...

Thank you so much to Denise for commissioning this episode! Y'all, I'm continuing the grand tradition of crying while live on camera, and I'm just gonna assume this will continue until the end of the series. Whew. These chapters, we see to the heart of what's going on with Essun, and she's really struggling with putting the welfare of the comm ahead of her own personal feelings for vengeance and,...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this new episode! It's time for a new book, y'all! I can't tell you how excited I am to be returning to the time and place where it all started for me. I'm a big fan of the world that Canavan created in the outskirts of the Imardin, because the common people always interest me way more than the upper classes, and we just didn't get a look at that t...

Thank you so much to Melanie for commissioning this episode and for being so patient even though I royally fucked it up. She's a pure angel and I am lucky we were able to work it out and do the Shorts instead, which were HILARIOUS and I highly recommend. This episode was a fantastic finale, and full of little surprises that were delightful and funny, until we got to the BIG surprise at the end...G...

Thank you very much to Abbey for commissioning this episode! These chapters are really interesting to me because things don't really go according to plan, and yet they all work out for the best (at least in the short term). Lirael and Sameth attempt to cross the wall under a glamour to make them look like soldiers, but the people who work there are no fools and they can tell something is up. Which...

Thank you ETERNALLY to Julia for commissioning this episode! I'm absolutely in love with this weird fucking show, y'all. I'm already a little worried because there aren't many episodes commissioned and I'm simply dying for more, but I'm going to have faith that y'all will come through for me because I NEED MORE OF BOTH THESE STRANGE WOMEN. So in this episode, we've got Villanelle killing a man in...

Huge thanks to Abbey for commissioning this episode! I'm delighted to have so much of this book left to go, because it's been a huge amount of fun and I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. In fact, I'm not ready to say goodbye to this world yet. In these chapters, we've got a whole lot going on with Lirael and Nicholas. She's got her work cut out for her to convince him that there'...

Many thanks and many apologies to Melanie for commissioning this episode. Because I made a crappy mistake, and it's entirely my fault. This episode was supposed to lead into a live-watch of the finale episode of Season 1, but like a giant dodo I went and watched this episode AND the finale episode, rendering Melanie's commission of a voyeur episode moot. Although I've already seen the finale, in t...

Many thanks to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This episode is the final one of the book, and it's leaving me with a variety of feelings. Part of me is pleasantly surprised by the way she's handled certain characters, and I'm feeling as if this author deserves more faith than I gave her. But there are some things that I'm kind of puzzled by, interesting details that I feel were barely men...

Thank you ever so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! We're so close to the end of the book, and I still feel a little off-balance about where we're heading in terms of the final conflict. So far I'm pretty compelled by what's going on with Hanara, and I like that the Emperor read his mind because it's going to give him a huge advantage in seeing what Takado was really up to. There's...

Thank you so much to Martin for commissioning this episode! This is starting to get more and more interesting as we finally begin to inch closer towards finding out what a Shipheart is. We're also finding out about Arks, which are basically like Shiphearts on steroids. And I share my own suspicions on exactly how the people of the ice really live, considering that there are Arks that have been bur...

Thank you very much to Michael for commissioning this episode! This episode of Travelers is really fascinating because they're finally getting to the main mission that they were sent here to take care of. There's a lot of interesting components at play here, from the busload of other travelers that get added to the mix, to the implementation of technology too advanced for our present, to the learn...

Thank you very much to Andrea for commissioning this episode! I can't believe how different this show feels now that we're in a new season. There's still the whole old crew of characters, but we're getting even MORE added to the mix, which I have to admit I didn't think was something that could be done and still have me keep them all straight. It helps that many of these characters are the same pe...

Thank you so much to Melanie for commissioning this episode! In this one, I'm covering 'Boyz Crazy' and 'Land Before Swine. The first one is arguably one of the most silly setups in a lot of ways, but it's done so well, with such deeply sincere jokes that it still winds up being funny even though I was sure I was going to be able to see it all coming. I'm always impressed when that happens. The se...

Thank you very much to Jacqui for commissioning the live watch of this episode and the episode itself! This is a bonkers episode and I'm so mad that the damn finale isn't going to be until January! I don't know how I'm going to manage right now. The finale is also a voyeur episode, and that means I literally have to wait until then not just to record, but to watch. AGH. There are so many things co...

Thank you very much to Abbey for commissioning this episode! I'm so into this book, y'all. I feel like the groundwork laid in the previous books has really paid off, and I've grown very invested in what happens to everyone. Even Mogget! He's back, and he's acting suspicious and I'm absolutely dying to know what his deal is. In these chapters, there's a rescue op for poor Nicholas, and I feel so fu...

Thank you to Rachel for commissioning this episode! Man, we've got some threads beginning to come together here and yet I still can't quite get the shape of things. Obviously there's something majorly shady and sinister about Woody Goodman, but I can't decide if it's a personal thing or if it's organized with someone else. Then there's the whole thing with Veronica finding out she's got Chlamydia,...

Huge thank-you to Michael for commissioning this episode, as well as for commissioning the voyeur episode of me watching live on Facebook live! This episode is BONKERS. We finally get more information on what happened to fuck poor Peter up so bad on the night that Mikkel disappeared, and it's even more tragic than I thought because this poor dude just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong...

Thank you very much to Martin for commissioning this episode! This series of chapters is absolutely packed with different small mysteries pulling the reader in different directions. I'm really hoping that I start to get answers to some of these questions soon, because I'm starting to lose track. The most pressing issue, for me at least, is that Raymel Tacsis is possessed by something (or something...

Thank you to Abbey for commissioning this episode! Soooooo...funny story. Here's the thing. I got a little overexcited and I just...kept reading. So this one episode is actually going to cover 100 pages rather than the usual 50. MY BAD! I just was so INTERESTED. We start out in the well, with our crew heading under into the dark. It's not so bad at first, because we've got Lirael's light to see by...

Thank you so much to Melanie for commissioning these episodes! This duo contains perhaps my very favorite episode of the series so far, which is all about life at the Gravity Falls public pool. There's so much to love about this, from Dipper's temporary new job, to Mabel's temporary new boyfriend, to Soos's determination to free the duck floats from slavery, to Stan's rivalry with Gideon for the b...

Many thanks to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode, and for introducing me to the whole series. It's been THA BEST! This finale episode made me cry and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I know that the relationship that the girls have with James has been fraught with bullying and whatnot, but also there's something more and I'm glad that the show has decided to address it. Also, there's something s...

Thank you very much to Martin for commissioning this episode! This was an interesting series of chapters because we jump ahead in time and get to see Nona a lot further on in her studies. And by "studies" I mean her ability to kick ass and take names. Unfortunately for her, when it's time for her to use a blade she decides to grab the same knife that she hid in blade storage after it was lodged in...

Thank you very much to Jacqui for commissioning this episode! Well this was a really weird one, but I liked it because of how much it focused on the overall bus plotline, which is the thing that I'm absolutely stymied by every time I try to piece things together. Turns out that Kendall and the Fitzpatricks might have been in bed together (heh) this whole time, and possibly were in cahoots to take...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I'm really flummoxed by the way this fight goes down. There's not the big climax that I expected, and instead of really being in the middle of things from the perspective of someone actually fighting, we instead look on from the sidelines while Tessia stays out of the way and Hanara pees his pants. Weird choices. Then there is the seemingly imp...
