Spoil Me

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! This is the one where Ed faces off with Kimblee and gets impaled and has to be assisted by a pair of Chimeras who decide to defect from Kimblee's team. It's interesting to see this happen again, and it really seems like there should be a better benefits package for the Chimera considering how unhappy they all seem to be. Meanwhile, Al keep...

Thank you to George for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters where we're introduced to Darius from the Luminian Order, who seems like an all-around great guy despite his affliction. But Darius being so kind and empathetic just underscores how horrific some aspects of his Order really are, because he's here to save 3 little girls and the Luminians just want to execute them. Lowkey I c...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! So this is it! We get to see what happened to Hempstool all those centuries ago, and it turns out that he's basically a Philosopher's Stone in human form! I still don't get info on how he was able to summon some little creepy lumps out of his chest to do his bidding, but hey, can't win them all. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you soon...

Thank you very much to George for commissioning this episode! These chapters are the ones in which Shera finds out that the kids that she used to work with when she was on the streets have likely been scooped up and turned into assassins by someone else, and that they didn't get out the way she'd imagined. This means that she's not prepared to be on the run from the Consultants, so when Lucan grab...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! In this episode we get the reveal of just how things were set up with Scar pretending to kidnap Winry, and the group splits up. Ed stays behind with Miles, but Scar & Co. head into the tunnels, and Al heads out into the snowstorm after them once they get the news that Briggs is being taken over. I still think Kimblee seems to be aware that...

Thank you very much to George for commissioning this episode! I'm so excited to be getting back into this universe, and we're hitting the ground running by opening with a series of assassination attempts on Regents. Some of them suck and seem to deserve it, and some seem to really be doing their best to help. So what's the deal? Shera seems to think that it's the kids she used to roll with who hav...

Thank you so much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this episode is when our friends head out into the wintry wastelands, heading toward an abandoned mining town called Baschool. Scar & Co. are hiding out there, and we get a confrontation that ends up going in a surprising direction. Kimblee is getting played, and it seems like he's going to figure it out sooner rather than later...but per...

Thank you to Heather for commissioning this episode! So these chapters are the ones in which shit really begins to hit the fan. Elgen Spears has made his move, taking over several world governments and assassinating their leaders on live-streams being fed to every active screen in the world. I genuinely didn't know how he was going to pull this off, but I'm hopeful that he will be hoisted on his o...

Thank you very much to Yama for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, we have an amazing faceoff between The Lone One and Ponch, and it's just wonderful. I was not expecting this at all. However, that is NOT to say that we haven't suffered some terrible losses, and I'm not sure how permanent they all are but I suspect one of them might be a done deal. Thanks so much for listening, and I w...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! In this episode WE FIND OUT WHO THE FUCK PRIDE IS OMG

Thank you to Heather for commissioning this episode! In these chapters of Ascend we get the team mobilizing against Aftermath, and we lose one of the team. I wasn't expected Chance to go, and I wasn't expecting it to be so brutal when it happened. Also there's a whole thing with Brian having the creepiest ability ever. Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! In this episode, we get to see more of the history of Hempstool, and there's a little more insight into what his deal is with his weird body and the struggle of dealing with whatever. There's not enough real information to assess what his role, if any, is in what's going on with the Homunculi, but we at least find out that there's a decent reason fo...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this episode we get a little more insight into the motivations of the homunculi, though it is by no means a full explanation. After Sloth is led outside and frozen in place, Ed & Co. go exploring in the tunnel Sloth had come out of, and begin to piece together that the shape of Amestris in conjunction with some of the most bloody atroci...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So it's time to get to know General Armstrong who is clearly nobody to be fucked with, and she questions them about their business at Fort Briggs. She's no fool though, and realizes that the Elric brothers are hiding something. The two of them are sent to work, and get a tour of the place and learn a little about the culture of teamwork he...

Thank you to Heather for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, we get a closer look at what has happened to Brian, and I realize that there are some serious drawbacks to his condition that I hadn't given proper weight because I was so excited. Meanwhile, we touch base with Elgen Spears and his work with Tretyak, and the two of them get in the usual dick measuring contest while Briar Young...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I have been resisting posting this ep because I didn't want it to be over. What a fantastic season this has been.

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where our friends get to the North and we get to meet Armstrong's extremely intimidating sister, who rips up his letter of introduction exactly as he supposed she would. Meanwhile, Kimblee is pursuing Scar with more confidence now that he's narrowed down the man's direction, and they wind up having a showdown on the train. Ki...

Thank you so much to Max for commissioning this episode! This episode is an odd one, as we wind up accidentally getting swept up in a chance meeting with the Fuhrer's son, Selim. Turns out that he's a fanboy of the Elric brothers, and this makes everything so awkward. Meanwhile, Kimblee is on Scar's trail, trying to figure out where he's heading and why. For some reason, every time that we see Sca...

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! Y'all, the next episode of Sex Education is the last one of the series so far, and I'm devastated. This episode was so good, this season has been so good, and I'm just really impressed with how much this show has evolved. We have the saddest and happiest things going on, from Maureen reconnecting with her ex to Jean WARNING: I cry a L...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! First of all, it turns out that Dr. Marcoh is still alive, and he's been taken into custody by Scar for reasons that I do not think are clear to us yet. I expect that Scar thinks Marcoh can do something for him regarding alchemy...bu Scar isn't hungry for power, he's hungry for vengeance against someone that he now knows is a Homunculi. Does he thin...

Thank you very much to Max for commissioning this episode! So this is a really heavy episode, in which we learn a lot more about the genocide of the Ishvalan people and the ways in which the folks we have gotten to know reacted to the orders they were given at the time. There's something reassuring about the fact that some of them had a major issue with what they were being asked to do, but it's u...

Thank you to Heather for commissioning this episode! This is the point at which we discovered what happened to Brian, and I'm very excited over the fact that he's going to wind up being a superhuman after all. I wasn't sure what direction we were going with him and it seems like he's going to be okay...in terms of actually continuing to be alive, at least. But he's definitely sort of a freak now....

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I'm so relieved that things in Nigeria don't go the way that I was fearing they would, and interestingly we've got Michael showing up at Jean's house for an impromptu therapy session. There's a lot going on at the school in the meantime, which I think might be one of the more disturbing but accurate portrayals of the kind of "discipli...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! This episode is wild in that we're getting Wrath basically telling Ed and Al everything and saying, "So glad to get that off my chest, as you were, gentlemen." He's so cavalier about it that even Roy is like "WTF" and when he shares this info with Armstrong we find out that our sweet cinnamon roll protested what he was asked to do in Ishval and was...

Thank you very much to Heather for commissioning this episode! This episode starts with the final escape of Scorp and Viper from Dr. Spears' facility, which surprisingly is pulled off essentially without incident, and without a discovery of Brian because it turns out he's in a totally different place, namely at Dr. Spears' private home. Meanwhile, Ryan is grieving the damage that she's done to Jen...
