Spoil Me

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! I'm so excited to be starting the next book, but I'm very upset because it looks like Eitan is back to fuck Alex's life up again and I really resent him for it and want Alex to call in some of the superpowers she works with to take this guy out of her life once and for all. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you soon for a new episode!

Thank you to Lauren for commissioning this episode! Now we're finally getting to some big things I've been looking forward to. The one I'm most excited about is that Jane finds out about the secret Michael has been keeping, and I'm feeling like he still doesn't seem to fully understand what was so terrible about what he did. Meanwhile, there's the whole meeting-her-dad situation and that's not goi...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! OMG. This. Ending. That is all. See you soon!

Thank you very much to Heather for commissioning this episode! This is another packed one, where we see Jane struggling with having feelings for Rafael and feeling like she has to share some things with Michael that I absolutely do not think she has to. Meanwhile, Michael is struggling to keep Petra from being arrested, and finally comes to the conclusion that losing Jane is worse than having to r...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters are the ones in which we discover that Darlington was murdered by being lured into the open mouth of a hellhound, and that nobody ever survives that. Not even just physically, either; his soul is gone and that's why he's not on the other side of the veil. But apparently demons can survive? So I'm holding out hope that he's a secret...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! In these chapters we get some major forward movement as Detective Turner witnesses his prime suspect teleporting in and out of a prison, and poor Alex once again gets attacked within an inch of her life and has to be brought back from the brink of death. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Darlington. T...

Thank you so much to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters are the ones where we finally find out both what happened in that room with Darlington, and what happened at Ground Zero. And I am HERE FOR ALL OF IIIIIITTTTTTTT Thank you for listening, and I will see you next week with a new episode!

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I have to say, while I'm super sad that this show is over, I feel that this finale was a perfect stopping place, in terms of the overall arc for the show's growth as well as tonally being a little melancholy but mostly hopeful. I think it's a good indicator that a TV series ended when it should if you're feeling both sad but satisfied...

Thank you to Claire for commissioning this episode! This is the one where Jane starts to realize that she's got some feelings going on for Raphael that are getting impossible to ignore. Meanwhile, Michael is over here lying more and more to cover up Petra's involvement and it's really beginning to snowball. Jane has decided that she's ready to have sex, but I'm glad that circumstances aligned so t...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! There were so many fun happy things going on in this one that I completely let my guard down and then the last scenes happened and knocked me on my ass. I hate this.

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This was a fun parents-only episode about the wildest night of their lives back in '77 when they were all in school living through some of the worst of the violence of the Troubles while trying to just have normal lives. I'm very into this secret, and the way they told the story was super fun to watch. I love this show! Thanks for listening, an...

Thank you to Claire for commissioning this episode! In the second delightful installment of this wonderful series, I once again underestimate how hard this show is willing to go. We've got injuries and murders, lies and deceptions, affairs, and a few people in the mix who really are just doing their best. I love this show!

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! I'm so VERY into this book, y'all (As of this posting, I have already read the 4 chapters that come after this and OH MY GOD), and I am starting to see the shape of what Leigh Bardugo is doing in this book. At least, I think I am. Sexual assault being tossed around as a plot point is something that I don't love, but she's clearly zeroing in on th...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! In this episode of Derry Girls, we get an interesting overlap in the plots where the girls are convinced the house they've been assigned to clean is haunted, while the parents are together trying to contact a spirit of their own. In the end, one of the ghosts is proved to be a regular flesh-and-blood man, but the other seems to be interested in...

Thank you so much to Florian for commissioning this special holiday episode! For this one I get to watch a couple of delightful drag queens really duke it out over their views on Christmas, with some truly funny songs and fucking FABULOUS holiday outfits. This was a total change of pace and a really great way to spend an hour during the holidays, so if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. H...

Thank you to Gabriela for commissioning this episode! I'm very excited about the way this series has started out, because it has managed to make me care about characters almost immediately which is not an easy thing to pull off. The narrator is a really fun choice, and the absurdity of the series of events is well lampshaded and made to feel truly possible. I'm very much looking forward to more of...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This is the one where the whole crew is heading down Portrush for a seaside holiday, and there's a lot of excitement on the train ride down. Poor Claire is left behind to take a separate train by herself, and James inadvertently switches bags with a criminal who is carrying a gun and cash and...a bag of crisps. Thank you all so much for listeni...

Thank you so much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This is the one where the girls decide that they're going to enter into a talent show as the Spice Girls, and are completely killing it, but end up being derailed by a very hot plumber that Erin thinks is railing her mom. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! In this premiere for the third season of a truly delightful show, the crew decides that they're going to break into their school to find out their test results early, but they interrupt some intrepid robbers and unwittingly help them out. Meanwhile, Joe and Gerry nearly come to blows over the issue of Seamus the cat. Thanks for listening, and I...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! In these chapters we're getting a look at one of the other Houses Of The Veil, namely Manuscript, which is a house that focuses on illusion magic. Darlington is none too pleased when they manage to drug him into making a fool of himself at party, but it's interesting that even after the drug wears off he still believes that what he saw was real....

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! So in these chapters we get a few further juicy tidbits about what happened at "Ground Zero" and I'm chock full of vague theories with no basis to them whatsoever. Also, we get info about the murder of Tara, which for some reason has gotten under Alex's skin and she's not sure why. And then there's the vague undercurrent of anxiety the comes from...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters that tell us what happened all those years ago to cause Alex to fall apart. I was surprised to see what a supportive and loving mother she seemed to have, and I'm sure it broke her heart to watch her daughter start going down such a destructive road. Alex has had some truly harrowing experiences, and I'm not sure that Darli...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! I'm kind of blown away at the direction this book is going, because there's a difference between "I'm not sure what to expect" and "There was no possible way to be prepared for the weirdness". And you know what? I'm into it. In these first chapters, we meet Alex, who is attending Yale and can see ghosts. But she's not a Yale student who can also...

Thank you so much to Asher for commissioning this remainder of this series! It's the final chapters, and there is so much happening that despite assuring Asher that I would get to their questions about favorite moments in the book, etc, I wrapped without ever mentioning them again. Sorry, Asher! I will try to pick things up in the Discord, meet you there? Thanks again so much to you all for listen...

Thank you to Asher for commissioning this episode! These chapters are pretty intense as Calder rushes to try some new things with the Emperor's powers, all in the midst of a pretty scary attack by Urg'naut that tears a chunk of the city into complete nothingness. Meanwhile, there's a whole thing with Bliss and I love this so much. Thanks a ton for listening, and I will see you soon with the final...
