Sparks from God's Heart

In this message we explore one of the most beautiful and foundational themes in Scripture — “THE FATHER’S BLESSING.”   We know by our own experience that gaining a deeper understanding of The Father’s Blessing will reshape how you see God, yourself, and your purpose!   We have learned that in Scripture, a blessing is never just “nice words!”  A Blessing is a DECLARATION that changes reality! When...

When the Apostle John was taken to heaven he witnessed Satan, the accuser, being cast out as a loud voice declared, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come.”  John then heard the powerful key that defeats and casts “the hell” out of every believer’s heavenly life in Christ: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of th...

In the early days of my Christian walk, the Lord spoke to me (Steve) about a powerful key principle that would forever shape the course of my life and ministry.  He told me that as His children, we are created for relationship with Him and with one another.  He taught me that the most important condition for relationship is when we walk together in AGREEMENT —being in one mind and in one accord. J...

Through the years Varvah and I have been invited many times to meet with people seeking a Word from the Lord concerning spiritual problems they were experiencing.  But there were some encounters in which the Lord spoke so profoundly that His Words not only enlightened but changed our spiritual thinking forever!  This message is about one such encounter that totally reshaped our understanding of ho...

This is the fourth in a new series of messages entitled “BOOTCAMP for GENERALS!”   “Generals” is a term for believers who are maturing in their callings and growing in their giftings as spiritual leaders in the Body of Christ and in the secular world.  In Part 4 of this teaching on DELIVERANCE , we begin with understanding the AUTHORITY Christ has given us as believers over all the powers of the e...

This is the third in a new series of messages entitled “BOOTCAMP for GENERALS!”   “Generals” is a term for believers who are maturing in their callings and growing in their giftings as spiritual leaders in the Body of Christ and in the secular world.  In Part 3 of this teaching on DELIVERANCE , we focus on a necessary and indispensable key to DELIVERANCE which is FORGIVNESS .  But beyond merely di...

If there was ever a time when we as Americans felt the compelling need for our nation, founded two and a half centuries ago solidly on faith in Christ, to repent and rededicate itself to the Lord, it is surely now!  But the Scriptures are clear that God’s judgement which leads to repentance does not begin with the world, but with us, His people (1 Pet. 4:17; 2 Chron. 7:14).  It’s time for the Chur...

This is the second in a new series of messages entitled “BOOTCAMP for GENERALS!”   “Generals” is a term for believers who are maturing in their callings and growing in their giftings as spiritual leaders in the Body of Christ and in the secular world.  In Part 2 of this teaching on DELIVERANCE , we focus on the source of the real power needed to set free and deliver the captives by breaking demoni...

This is the first of a new series of messages called “BOOTCAMP for GENERALS!”  We are thankful The Lord called us to heal and minister to new and young believers, but then the day came when He asked us, “Who heals the healers and who ministers to my leaders and generals?”   He is now reminding us that the time is short, and it’s time to impart everything we have to heal and build strong spiritual...

If you or someone you know is needing supernatural healing , then this message may hold the very key you need to unlock the breakthrough in your life and in those around you .  You may have read the story in John 5:1–9, of the man at Bethesda who had been praying and waiting for his healing for thirty-eight years.  But do you know why he wasn’t able to receive his healing?  It wasn’t what he thoug...

In the beginning, the enemy didn’t waste any time entering the Garden of Eden to tempt God’s first children into believing they could “be like God,” their Father, through disobedience and their own human effort.  This desire to “be like God” has been in every child of Adam since, manifesting itself outwardly in a human phenomenon we call “perfectionism.”  Millions of people, including Christians,...

After many years of counseling and ministering to Christians, I believe we have discovered Satan's top “device” of taking what the Apostle Paul called, “advantage over us” (2 Cor. 2:11).  Satan is still using that same “device” on us that he used some 6000 years ago to gain advantage over the first couple in the Garden of Eden.  While he may try to disguise it outwardly to confuse us, inwardl...

Psalm 42 is one of the most heartfelt and personal psalms David ever wrote .  It came out of a time when he faced not only overwhelming problems, but betrayal from the very people closest to him—his own family.  There is something about this psalm that speaks deeply to everyone who has been in a dark season where you can’t seem to find your way out.  David experienced the OVERWHELMING, but he lear...

Isaiah prophesied the coming Messiah would be called “ Immanuel .”  Seven centuries later, Matthew began the New Testament by quoting Isaiah and giving us with the meaning of “Immanuel” as “God WITH us!”   Then Mark concluded his Gospel with this final statement: “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working WITH them …”   The Lord has been speaking to us about the critical importan...

Varvah opens Part 3 of this series by describing dimensions of DARKNESS that sadly, few Christians even know exists today , as multitudes struggle under demonic powers because of lies and ignorance .  Steve then breaks down the Genesis 3 story of the fall of man, as DARKNESS entered the Garden of Eden, lied and slandered God the Father, then took up residence in the souls of men .  You will want t...

Part 2 of a series of messages dealing with an often overlooked and misunderstood spiritual reality called DARKNESS!   In this study we explore the role DARKNESS played in three divine judgements, beginning with the least known which occurred between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.  Genesis holds important keys in understanding how DARKNESS works in the lives of believers and how the Spirit of God pl...

The Lord has been speaking about a spiritual reality that as Christians, affects us far more negatively than we previously understood .  That spiritual reality has a name, it’s called DARKNESS!  This series of messages was born out of the fire of learning firsthand the importance of not ignoring or becoming complacent in recognizing darkness, while learning to use the spiritual weapons of warfare...

If you think you understand all you need to know about Christ’s resurrection, then fasten your seatbelt, click “PLAY,” and expect to get even more excited than when you first met Christ!  We will use a spiritual “jackhammer,” as well as a huge “magnifying glass” to bring the mysteries of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, hidden for centuries, into the light of Truth.  When we’re finish...

Rather than beginning the New Year with a BANG, 2025 began with FIRE!  On January 7, when the Eaton and the Palisades Fires , erupted in Southern California, they quickly became the second and fifth most destructive wildfires in California history, destroying over 17,000 structures, and claiming at least 29 lives.  During their hellish reign, every news media outlet was inundated around the clock...

With the sheer number of recent breaking news stories of wildfires, floods, landslides, tornadoes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters, I’m convinced as Christians, we need better understanding of God’s role in these events, so we can bring real Truth to ourselves and others.   Recently, while watching the evening news, I (Steve) learned of a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on Ma...

Mary Bradley delivered a powerful message packed with her own personal experience of how she, as a seasoned Christian, went from a compromised spiritual walk to a new life of peace and freedom in the Lord.  Mary revealed a practical approach we can follow as believers to be free from living in that old restricted spiritual place, somewhere between Christ the ROCK and own HARDENED HEART! Expect to...

Many voices are declaring, “God is doing a NEW THING!”   The only problem is God seldom does anything the way we expect , so why would we be surprised by the present move of God?  And why should we be shocked that God would send a Donald Trump as an answer to our cries for righteous change in our country and our world?   This week President Trump announced tariffs against Canada, Mexico, and China...

Contrary to popular belief… JESUS DID NOT COME TO MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON!   Instead, He brought a wrecking ball and is now clearing out all the twisted wreckage to give you a BRAND-NEW LIFE! Are you ready for it?  Join us for this life-changing message! Steve & Varvah

The Lord called Hearts of Fire International to continue the ministry Jesus began when He walked beside His disciples on the Emmaus Road , setting their hearts ablaze by opening the meaning of the scriptures to them .  Like the disciples of old, we understand the scriptures on a natural level until Jesus comes with the Holy Spirit and opens the meaning to us.  Only then can we experience new fire...

Christmas is a BIG DEAL! We know God speaks through His creation .  Therefore, I believe Christmas shows the extent He can go to in making His voice heard around the world.  So, God has caused every tiny lamp hung and illuminated this season around the globe to proclaim as one voice that Christ has come and that He is the light of the world!   That's a BIG  DEAL!  Only our God could do this! ...
