As we consider our growth in Christ, the question we should each ask ourselves is, "what kind of root system do I have?" We have been designed to be woven into a community, into the mesh of the house. It is when we get involved and lean into what God is up to that we are able to survive the storms.  Support the show

We can plant ourselves with the intention of growing, but be positioned in the wrong place. So, the question is "where am I planted"?  We ought to embrace a faith community where we hear God’s Word preached so that it interrupts our personal life and calls us to action and application.  Support the show

In order to position ourselves for GOD's pruning process we have to be rooted with our time, talents and treasure in a local church community. We have to bear in mind that even if we are in the place of promise, we still need to be pruned in order to take hold of that which GOD wants to give us. Support the show

The Church is not an accessory to our relationship with Jesus, it’s a necessity for a flourishing life. The new life and flourishing out of the holy seed in the stumps that tell your story may involve planting yourself in the house of the Lord. Support the show

God has given each of us great gifts with which we serve to advance His Kingdom, but great gifts mean great responsibility. Our practical preparation is the altar upon which God’s power is displayed.  Support the show

In what ways have we imprisoned ourselves and shut ourselves off from the potential of what God’s made available to us because of our distorted perceptions? To gauge our perception, we should ask the following questions: How do I see ‘me’? How do I see God? How do I see the world around me?  Support the show

The unity and partnership of the church towards advancing GOD's kingdom on earth rests upon continued in-person fellowship. It is easy for us to deceive ourselves into assuming that we are planted because of our commitment to online fellowship, which was intended for a season, when we are actually potted and therefore limited in how far we grow.
