Sounders Pow Wow

Hope your celebrations for America's birthday are better than you could have wished. The Pow Wow has plenty to say about the lack of the US in the Copa America Round of 16, how good we really think the Sounders team is this year and if you are looking for an alternate explanation for goings on in Sounderland, look no further. Jonathon has officially jumped the shark.

After a week without Troy, Eventually returns with a new segment. You be the judge if it continues. Plenty of talk about the Negative Nancy syndrome, what's happening internally with the Sounders and what we expect with the upcoming match against Chicago. And your questions.

The last time the Sounders were embarassed like that in Sporktown, we lost our coach. The Pow Wow is not taking bets on the final result of this latest humbling by the last place team in the league (for the second time this season). Questions, answers, attitude and vitriol. Welcome to Eventually.

Oh so many questions. Some from the past, some from today and one Jonathon COMPLETELY forgot about (please note the artwork for this episode). Where has the fortress gone? Perhaps it is on a mini-vacation? Perhaps it is something that never was? And what about other stuff? Like pet names.

If ever a tie can feel like a loss. If ever a lack of a decision can feel like a betrayal by the heavens. If ever a red card can feel like a first yellow card. All of this and the Phoenix Suns. Plus there's some discussion of St. Louis, the announcers on Apple TV and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

A win in Portland! A trip to Sandy, Utah coupled with a match featuring a team from there and another squad. Words were said, thoughts entertained and Katy's Time.

Here you have a team which can go on the road, beat Philly and return to home to play one of the most, well, let's say, less than enthusiastic matches of the season. Followed up by a US Open Cup performance which shall become written about in song for future generations. And off to Portland for a battle of mediocrity and a game which may be nothing to write the Times about. Or will it? And questio...

The road trip has started, Nouhou fights with Uber, Stef fights with DC, one Roldan fights with a header, the other loses his fight for another week and there's a game tomorrow. And then another on Sunday. Likely looking 12 matches played and one win to show for them. The Pow Wow has a good time on this episode, no matter what the Sounders do.

You wanted a rant? You've got a rant! The most annoying rant in the world? Jonathon! Plus speculation on the next road matches, discussion of third jerseys and answers to questions...important questions. Your questions.

No one likes to say it, but maybe Jonathon had a point last episode and could have been closer to right than wrong? Nah, he's still an idiot. Looking back at Dallas, ahead to Vancouver and sideways like only the Pow Wow can.

Finally a win, against a struggling team, but a win is better than a draw so the Pow Wow remains joyous (except Jonathon, that grumpy son of a). A big Katy's time (part 1, in fact) and plenty of speculation, questions and silliness.

The field conditions were so bad in Philadelphia last weekend the match was postponed. Sounders Pow Wow is so bad this episode was delayed. Colorado sends the Rapids to the PNW and we are there for it. But not for much longer, if Don Garber doesn't start heeding Troy's commands.

Where, oh where, will the goals come from? Where, oh where, can they be? The Pow Wow has the answer and it may surprise you. Heading to Philly for a stretch without our latest big time signing. Do we believe everything will be fine? As if. So many questions with so many answers presented this week by Eventually.

While certainly not the best result we could have hoped for at LAFC last weekend, the Sounders showed well and provided at least a bit of excitement in the Pow Wow. There's questions to answer, players to be judged and jerseys to be ranked.
