With the direction of Robert Zemeckis (of "The Polar Express" fame) and screenplay courtesy of Neil Gaiman (of "American Gods" fame), Beowulf (2007) is a modern retelling of the ancient English poem, wherein, a motion-capture CGI Beowulf gets it on with....a mocap CGI Angelina Jolie?! Marc Singer returns as Dar, the Beastmaster. This week on Sorta Sorcery, the sequel to the critically acclaimed sword and sorcery classic, "The Beastmaster." The boys are taking it back to episode 2, while Dar takes a leap through time to stop his evil brother from stealing an atomic bomb in 1990's Los Angeles?!?! Yeah, you're gonna want to see this one.

Finally a film with a female lead! Did Jack Hill subvert the gender stereotypes of the genre with his 1982 film "Sorceress"? Did the producers of Dune (1984) screw this movie over by stealing its lighting!? The answer is probably no on all accounts, but there's only one way to find out!
