Sorry, We Tried.

In this HARDCORE GAMER episode of Sorry, We Tried, we're getting ready for our next review series — video game movies! They're, uh, mostly terrible, so pray for us. But to get prepped, we're returning to an old favorite — the game where we try to guess the movie based on a terrible review on the movie-reviewing app Letterboxd!  Also in this episode, Harrison wants to fight. Robby tr...

In this unplanned episode of Sorry, We Tried, it's FREE TALK FRIDAY — the time on the show where we take a break from all the movie reviewing and other nonsense that we do to talk about whatever's on our minds. On the menu this time — Harrison squabbles with his HOA after a fence installation goes horribly wrong. Robby discusses exactly how long it's okay to go without doing laundry...

In this amazing/spectacular/ultimate episode of Sorry, We Tried, we're taking a look at Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the blockbuster mega-hit that's made like a trillion dollars at the box office! Chances are you've already seen it, but it's our turn to talk about it now! Did Tom Holland finally redeem himself after a trilogy of... let's just say  controversial solo films? W...

In this mythical episode of Sorry We Tried, we're finally talking about Christopher Nolan's BIGGEST movie ever, The Odyssey! The fantasy epic has been dominating for a while now, but is it as good as everyone says it is? Were all the chuds online right about it being a disaster? Well, the answer to that second question is obviously no, because online chuds are never right about anything....

In this super episode of Sorry, We Tried (did I use that one for the original Superman review last year? I can't be bothered to check), it's finally time to talk about Supergirl! The DCU's second film has taken a beating from pretty much everyone for weeks, but does it deserve all the hate? Is the DCU dead already before it even got off the ground? Well... Also in this episode, Robb...

In this very late episode of Sorry, We Tried, we're closing off our Spielberg-athon review series with Big Steve's latest — Disclosure Day! One slight issue — the movie kind of sucks. Yeah, we're not happy about it either. Also in this episode, Robby overdoses on Toasteds. Harrison exposes a major plot hole. Spencer pitches a cracking new idea to Lockheed-Martin. And the guys try th...

In this adventurous (and slightly uncanny) episode of Sorry, We Tried, it is PART THREE of our SPIELBERG-ATHON, in which we've been revisiting movies from one of the most iconic filmmakers of all time, Steven Spielberg, in the lead up to his new movie Disclosure Day! This time, we're taking a look at one of his most experimental and underappreciated movies, 2011's The Adventures of...

In this liminal (is that how you spell that?) episode of Sorry, We Tried, we're talking about that new Backrooms movie that's all the rage! Everyone can't get enough of Kaine Parson's debut horror feature based on the classic series of custom Fortnite maps. Hold on... I'm hearing that it's actually based on a short film, which was based on a Creepypasta post. Huh. Wei...

WE HAVE RETURNED! In this extra-terrestrial episode of Sorry, We Tried, we come out of hibernation (sorry about that, by the way) to continue our SPIELBERGATHON. We're going through some of iconic director Steven Spielberg's greatest hits to get ready for his new movie this Summer; this time, we talk about his groundbreaking UFO flick, Close Encounters With the Third Kind from 1977!  Als...

In this fast and furious episode of Sorry, We Tried, it's Free Talk Friday— the part of the show where we take a break from reviewing a movie and talk about whatever nonsense we feel like. Yes, we know the episodes come out on Monday and not on Friday. That's part of the joke. On the menu this time — our worst driving stories, an update on the incoming surveillance state, and Jessie&apos...

In this blockbusting episode of Sorry, We Tried, IT'S TIME FOR A NEW REVIEW SERIES! After tackling the DCEU and a selection of spy movies last year, we're diving deep into the filmography of one of film's greatest directors — Steven Spielberg! For part 1 of our "Spielbergathon," we watched the 2002 classic  Catch Me If You Can , starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks! I...

This time on SWT, it's the grand return of Free Talk Friday! After the highs of last week's Valentine's Day special (go and listen to it if you haven't already), the guys take some time to debrief everything that happened while they were frozen inside their houses for a week. On the menu for today — a major kerfuffle at Robby's family Super Bowl party; the incredible fun o...

WE'RE BACK! Now that the southern United States has thawed out from the big freeze, we're here with a special Valentine's Day-themed episode... a week late. Look, we tried, okay? The important thing is — we pulled a bunch of wacky relationship advice questions from Reddit, and we're here to offer our UNQUESTIONABLE SAGE WISDOM to solve strangers' deepest life problems. It...

HAPPY NEW YEAR! This time on Sorry, We Tried, all the stars are here to celebrate a fantastic year for movies and TV. Okay, I lied. None of the stars are here. Unless you count the three of us "stars" — in which case, thank you, you're too kind. IN ANY CASE, this is our annual award show to crown the best, worst, and weirdest. In a year with absolute bangers like Superman and Ice Cu...

In this holly and jolly episode of Sorry, We Tried, IT'S CHRISTMAS! HO HO HO! And as a special gift, we FINALLY sat down to record a new episode that's been years in the making. For years, we've done a tournament where we argue which Christmas movie character is the strongest, but this time... it's different. Spencer created a bracket of the craziest, most untouchable opponents...

In this slick and suave episode of Sorry, We Tried, we return to our current review series—  "Spy Another Day," where we take a look back at some of our favorite spy flicks. This week, it's time for the OBJECTIVE best James Bond movie (I will hear no arguments on this fact, so don't even try to make them), CASINO ROYALE! It's a tale of parkour, poker, and punching dudes re...

BONUS EPISODE!!! While we're cooking up the next entry in our spy movie review series (Hint: It's Casino Royale), have this quick lil' extra! We're talking YooHoos, rollover minutes, bagged ice cream, and a good bit more! But not too much. This is a mini episode, after all. Also in this episode, Harrison reveals his ice cream stash. Robby has some trouble with his tearaway pant...

In this competitive episode of Sorry, We Tried, we're playing a game! Inspired by Mr. Sunday Movies on YouTube, we're delving deep into the hellscape of Letterboxd (the movie reviewing app) for some really strange reviews and attempting to do the impossible — guessing the movie using only the review. This time — since it's been a big year for them — we're doing Legacy Sequels!...

In this suave episode of Sorry, We Tried, it's the second installment of our next review series—  "Spy Another Day," where we take a look back at some of our favorite spy flicks. This week, it's time for Guy Ritchie's underappreciated 2015 film, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.! This is the Henry Cavill one. You probably know it because of him. Also in this episode, Harrison breaks...

In this page-turning episode of Sorry, We Tried, IT'S FREE TALK FRIDAY! In case you don't know, that's part of the show where we shoot the breeze about whatever we feel like. This week, we make Bob Ross proud. By that I mean that this episode was a happy accident. We didn't mean to make it. Hopefully, it blesses your eardrums nonetheless.  Also in this episode, Harrison does so...

In this stealthy episode of Sorry, We Tried, it's the first installment of our next review series! For our next four reviews, we're beginning our first unit of the year— 1A: Spy Another Day. Yep, it's spy movie time! This week, we look back at a modern classic that shook up the genre big-time: The Bourne Identity! Also in this episode, Harrison drops some crazy Flat Stanley lore. Ro...

In this button-bashing episode of Sorry, We Tried, IT'S FREE TALK FRIDAY! That means it's time to talk about whatever we darn well feel like. This week, we darn well feel like talking about Harrison's current quest to become a legit gamer. That and some other things, obviously — you all know the drill.  Also in this episode, Harrison almost bowls a perfect game. Robby won't put...

In this FANTASTIC (sorry) episode of Sorry, We Tried, it's time to review The Fantastic Four: First Steps! With Superman already busting all the blocks, will Marvel's big colorful gamble be able to make a splash? Or will it sink like a stone— or like a... big orange man made of rocks? Yeah, that's good enough. I don't think I need to edit that at all. I'll leave all this i...

In this transformative episode of Sorry, We Tried, it's FREE TALK FRIDAY! This week, we've got a lot to unpack. They're making a new Transformers movie with Michael Bay, and that's bad... probably? And lots of other things. I won't spoil them all here, but just trust me— we talk about other things. Also in this episode, Harrison messes up the vibe. Robby warns about the da...

In this SUPER episode of Sorry, We Tried, the day we've been waiting two years for has finally arrived. It's not a bird or a plane— it's SUPERMAN! The possible biggest movie of the summer heralds a bold new direction for the once-dead DC franchise, but is it any good?   Did it live up to our sky-high expectations? Also in this episode, Harrison makes a bold Man of Steel comparison....
