Dying in a Pornographic Culture 19.10.2021

Joseph Tucker | Be Strong Men's Conference | Breakout There is nothing God-honoring in sexual sin. God created sex—the world did not. So we should not be living in a way that says the world created it. In this breakout, Joseph Tucker, pastor at Red Oak Church, walks through ways we can fight against sexual sin. Pornography addiction doesn’t go away when you get married. It comes from a sinful...

SWO21: Social Media Breakout 14.09.2021

Zach Mabry | SWO21 | Breakout With every advancement in technology, there is the opportunity to use it for the Gospel and the temptation to use it for selfish purposes. Social media is no different. With a third of the world on social media, there is definitely an increased opportunity to be a light of the Gospel but there is an obvious inherent danger as well. One of the biggest dangers of social...

SWO21: Biblical Masculinity 09.09.2021

Rob Conti | SWO21 | Guys Breakout Our culture is trying to redefine what masculinity is. In this breakout, Rob looks at Scripture to see what it means to be a biblical man. Why People Think Youth Ministry is a Joke 26.08.2021

Zach Mabry | SWO21 | Youth Pastor Breakout All too often youth ministry is seen as JV, shallow, or immature. But the truth of the matter is that those of us in student ministry have an amazing opportunity to impact eternal, image-bearers of God during some of the most formative years of their lives. It is up to us to help steer the discipleship of the students that God has placed in our ministries...

Talking to Students About the Existence of God 24.08.2021

Zach Mabry | SWO21 | Youth Pastor Breakout The culture we live in is overwhelmed by the tenets of postmodern theory that say that the truth of God’s existence is irrelevant and that whatever you believe is fine for you. Then we’ll compare them to what Scripture says...

SWO21: The Steadfast Love of God 17.08.2021

Rob Conti | SWO21 | Friday Morning God’s love is on a completely different level than we could ever imagine.  In Exodus 34, Moses had achieved a place of relationship with the Lord that he asked a VERY personal question. He asked to see God with his physical eyes. But this was impossible—the power of Yahweh’s glory would kill him! “The LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proc...

SWO21: Your Call to Personal Holiness 12.08.2021

Spencer Davis | SWO21 | Wednesday Morning Holiness is an attribute of God. He is light and in Him there is no darkness. He is holy and calls you to be holy. This is an impossible standard. On your own you’re set for failure, but we have hope knowing that we’re not on our own. Christ died to forgive you from your sins and to empower you to fight them. No sin is stronger than God’s grace. There has...

SWO21: God as a Being 10.08.2021

Brody Holloway | SWO21 | Tuesday Morning God’s attributes can be categorized as either incommunicable or communicable. Incommunicable attributes are unique to God, whereas communicable attributes can be imitated by us to a degree. As we study the attributes of God, it is inevitable that we will run into mystery. This should not deter us from learning about God. Instead we should be driven to love...
