Snideful: Inside the Writers' Room

Tucker and Todd return to the writers' room following a lengthy hiatus. Todd proposes producing primarily soundless silly skits. Tucker wonders whether the silence impacts anyone or everyone else. The silence gives birth to a new super-villain. The rest is Snidestuff.

Todd has been on sick leave and bedrest but he's been itching to have a chat with Tucker and so now this episode exists. Hypothetically. They don't do a whole lot of brainstorming or storyboarding, but they share a couple giggles and catch up on news.

Tucker and Todd head down to the fair grounds with the gang for Hometown's annual summer exhibition show. Naturally, havoc leads to harm and the boys find themselves indefinitely interned with a pack of impatient inpatients. Just as naturally, the ad hoc emergency room turns out to be much more than it appears. And supernaturally, the boys will have to get to the bottom of it.

Typically on anniversary episodes, we explore the origins of our main characters. A year ago we made a list of mashups between subgenres that we don't often see paired together. One of our favorite combinations off that list was Fantasy-Western. Brickwork and thatched-roof fairytale towns plagued with bank robbers and cattle rustlers. A medieval civilization in its Wild West era. Six-shooters and spellcraft.
