SUDS Episode – A brewery takeover edition covering beers from Urban Family based out of Seattle, WA. They are known for unusual ingredients and taking classic styles to a new level of quality. We finally identified a beer and yoga pairing. A drifting and weaving conversation about what mellows in the mouth.

SIPS Episode – A distillery takeover featuring Glengoyne product line from Glengoyne Distillery. We introduce the background on this product, and tasting reviews of each product.

SUDS Episode – We taste and rate the Fat Tire & Friends CollaBEERation Pack, an anniversary present featuring new spins on Fat Tire from Firestone Walker, Avery, Allagash, Rhinegeist and Hopworks Urban Brewery—plus a couple of original Fat Tires for good measure.

SUDS Episode – It’s a full blown New England hop fest. A horrible attempt at New England accents, for some reason we discuss the trimming of the dreidel, and some general East Coast v. West Coast.

This is the bourbon episode where our hosts taste 10 bourbons in a double blind tasting to identify which is the older product, a general discussion about time and bourbon, and the relative age of each of the hosts. This is an audience participation show as well recorded at Belle’s Cocktail House in Lexington, KY.

SIPS Episode – A distillery takeover featuring Westland Distillery. A distillery with a lot of pedigree and talent. We decided to take a look at the juice and step around the eons of hype. If you want to discover American Peat, this show is for you.

SUDS Episode – We tackle a very vague beer category that is hitting the craft beer scene, session beer. We talk about what is a session beer, what clothing optional activities are most appropriate with session beer, and Sparky mentions motorboat at least 17 times. We had 10 beers in the entire double blind flight.

SIPS Episode – A re-creation of the typical store barrel pick selection process at Four Roses Bourbon. This process covers all ten recipes that Four Roses uses. We taste all ten from a variety of sources and pick our top 3 along with our tasting and rating notes.

SIPS Episode – We attempt to tackle a review of several products from Few Spirits and The Splinter Group. Somehow saying enema and Roll Tide took over the entire conversation. We lose track of time, math, and frankly what we are tasting.

SIPS Episode – This episode we pickup another distiller takeover covering Angel’s Envy. A product that is sourced by one of the best of the industry distiller’s Lincoln Henderson. We cover a broad range of these products of both off the shelf and barrel selections.

SUDS Episode – This show is a brewery takeover of Crooked Stave. We get to talk about all the great beer from Chad Yakobson. We cover but a fraction of the beers available but a nice broad range of the product lineup. In the middle of this episode Dave manages to ban us from an entire genre of music, R&B, a new low, and Sparky channels his inner Casey Kasem radio voice.

SUDS Episode – A beer destination episode featuring beers from Michigan. We are featuring some beers that are not widely distributed outside the state of Michigan.

SIPS Episode – We take on a cornerstone of the Scotch products with a distillers takeover on Glenmorangie. We cover the base 10 year and then several different finishes available.

SUDS Episode – Brewery takeover edition with Paradox Beer Company in Divide, Colorado. A stellar lineup of beer mostly from the Scully line with all things sour. We rave about the Watermelon Gose, again, because it’s so good. We even get to talk about beer caves and lager techniques as this is part of the Paradox brewing process.

SUDS Episode – A brewery takeover episode featuring beers from Four Hands. We manage to add another word to the Sips, Suds, & Smokes vast dictionary of made of words – fruit cuppie. The entire time Jason & Mike are craving Provel cheese.

SIPS Episode – This show is audience participation show featuring Gifted Horse from Diageo. In this review we focus at a whiskey blended with 17 and 4-year-olds bourbon. We have plenty of fun with the audience and of course our twist involving show tunes.

SIPS Episode – This show is a show and tell series on High End Whiskeys. We don’t do this often about discussion of products that are beyond an average means or nearly impossible to find, but we are on this episode. Some of these are only discussed and rarely consumed but we drank and rated them all.

SUDS Episode –  We step in the world of Saison Man, aka Jason Yester, at Trinity Brewing. If you are a fan of Jason and Office Space, you are going to enjoy this episode and the beer. We discuss superpowers we wish we had and this 1 hour episode is almost entertaining for 23 minutes.

SIPS Episode – The Bourbon Classic Festival which is held in Louisville, KY each year. This is becoming THE big event for Bourbon locally. We going to talk about the products we got to try this week and discuss some trends that are continuing and emerging.
