SUDS Episode – Blinded once again with beer. A blind tasting of 6 beers with a wide range of styles. The most riveting discussion of Amish produce ever captured on radio! What a fabulous way to kill an hour, with friends, that are not Amish. Something smells like ass. Could be Caperton or one of these beers.

SIPS Episode – All the season of disappointment. Oh yes it’s the Fall Bourbon Releases for 2019. We can talk about them, but some of these are in very short supply. ＜sadface＞ Free beef jerky to everyone that can pronounce Amaranth correctly. You might have to blow something other than some candles to find a OF Birthday Bourbon this year. It’s finally back to being tiptop.

SUDS Episode – Never ask beer people to read things in a foreign language. We can drink and rate it all day long, but pronounce something properly, negative. This is a reference episode with Belgian beer from St. Bernardus. Our attempts to get with the monk theme were futile. We thank the fine residents of Belgium for tolerating our inability to pronounce Watou correctly and not banning us. Yet.

SIPS Episode – We catch up with some whiskey brands maybe not quite as big, but still packed with flavor. Our normal very animated cast breaks down each product with ratings. With the average release of 1000 bottles, Old Carter is in unicorn status. The gals at Jeptha Creed make their debut on this episode. Plus we manage to discuss Stolen Whiskey in the middle of this “episode”.

SIPS Episode – ‘Merica and Amaro, yeah this not something normally, all the way around, including the casting for this episode. We look at contributions in the USA to creating Amaro. The fake Italian accents were kept to a minimum, you’re welcome. Lots of spice going on during this episode. Sip. Learn. Laugh.

SIPS Episode – Amaro 101, oh this very confusing beverage of herbs and spices. Quite popular in Italy but this beverage has origins back to the Egyptians. It’s fabulous neat, with some simple mixers, and in cocktails. You will get beyond that same old routine and venture to some cool stuff on that back bar you always wondered about. This episode is a pre requisite to all of our amaro episodes.

Meanwhile in KY, something different is going on. Wilderness Trail Distillery is bringing back the use of KY grown Rye. This has all the tongues wagging in KY.

SIPS Episode – A mystery wrapped in whiskey as we discuss Heaven’s Door Whiskey. A celebrity whiskey with Bob Dylan. They are currently outfitting a former church as the distillery. We also decided that Justin’s Texas accent was so bad, we had higher hopes for the whiskey from Treaty Oak. We expected less from someone that drinks blue cocktails. And Windex.

SIPS Episode – We head north again but not crossing the border. Traverse City Whiskey Co. has been sourcing whiskey from MGP as they work on building their brand. They are also moving towards incorporating their own distillate recently as well. Justin displays his one size fits all accents. We also manage to confuse the origins of KISS from MI.

SUDS Episode – From the Summer of Bad Decision series, it’s Canasian Lager. Wait what? Yes it’s Canadian and Asian Lager Lager showdown. We taste these full on tiger style in a blind tasting. Dave- I needed a head exploding sound effect. An exhaustive discussion on the bad decision of using green glass for beer.

SIPS Episode – A whiskey flight of broad range of things. What’s in your grab bag? Uh, we don’t want to actually know. Ours was filled with whiskey. Our amazing intellect can’t seem to pronounce French towns that are located in KY. It’s a hidden talent.

SIPS Episode – A broad range of Canadian products from Hiram Walker. The vast majority of American Rye is made with European Rye, although Canada has been making Rye whiskey longer. Will this cast be able to step out to discuss this without getting banned?

SUDS Episode – Beer style episode with fast moving adoption by several craft breweries. Brut IPA itself is not new, but extends that popular bitter elements of an IPA while changing the mouthfeel with a different base beer. It’s dry, very dry. Actually this is a flight with a wide range of base beers. Always interesting results during a blind tasting, which we did across these 12 Brut IPA beers.

SUDS Episode – Brewery takeover with Strange Roots Experimental Ale from Pittsburgh, PA. A stellar lineup of sour beers that you need to go out of way to find these beers. Stolen watermelons taste best. Amazing how all of these beers are nearly double the ABV against their Belgian equivalents.

SIPS Episode – A brand new product from Beam Suntory and one of the first where there is a collaboration. Legent is not like anything on the market.  On this Quick Shot episode we also get to Minor Case from Limestone Branch Distillery.

SUDS Episode – A brewery takeover of pFriem Family Brewers with an outstanding flight of beer. A lively discussion of the food paring suggestions that were provided by the brewery as well.

SIPS Episode – Classic us as we insult the entire French speaking culture. A cheese pairing show with Cheeses of Europe. We have never had so much fun with an app that can tell us how poorly we pronounce things. There should be a similar app for residents of Ottawa.
