Derek Schulte started his post-high school basketball career as a manager on Larry Eustachy’s Iowa State basketball team. Mike Hilmer has always known he’s wanted to coach. As a college athlete, he coached little league and youth league across multiple sports. Moving through a few other schools on his way to North Linn, he has experience coaching several of his own sons and has a great perspective on that. Mike’s a recent state champion and has only lost 5 games in the last 6 years👀.

Josh Henry has 8 years of head coaching under his belt, all at his hometown school of Winterset. He knew he wanted to coach since his college years, so he jumped at the opportunity when it opened up. He’s an admitted stat geek and it definitely showed during this episode!
