She Speaks Truth

I take a few minutes to look back over the last three school years so that when I look to this one, I see it in the full light of all that has and is happening. Where does your hope and rest come from?

As I make plans for the return to school and I am striving for positive relationships and actions, I want to work to create a school culture that is full of love and acceptance. We do this 30 seconds at a time. Find it it how we can each create a positive difference in our life and others.

As I prepare to go back to school, I am thinking more about my role in bringing positive energy to the students and my fellow staff members. I reflect in something I read in Jon Gordon’s, The Energy Bus and close with a blessing.

As I am journeying on a road trip with my husband for the past week, we have been striving to find rest…through food, drinks, music, reading and sleep. I pray you are able to find rest for your body, mind and spirit.

When you come in contact with others, whether at the check out of Dollar Tree or at your job, do they feel they have been seen, heard and loved? Christ spent time with people, all people and He was the ultimate love, walking, talking, sharing a meal…He loved and saw the people around Him. We can do that same thing and He calls us to do just that every day.

In America, we celebrate our freedom and Independence Day here on July 4th. What does God say about our independence and should bring self sufficient be our ultimate goal?

Am I the only one that lets little things bother me and stop me from loving others well? How do we get past the little things that bug us and love each other well?

For those that have a loving earthly father and for those that are looking towards our Heavenly Father as an example if true love and sacrifice.

Are you letting discontentment, unmet expectations, comparison, or disappointment steal your joy and happiness? I know I can at times. What can we do to move from focusing on ourselves to others to find happiness that lasts and live a full life?

As we close out this three part series from John 15, I ask…who do you love and how do we love each other well? I briefly talk about this past week and the sadness from the tragedy that occurred and the joy from celebrations that have and will take place.

If we want to be people that leave a legacy of love, we need to find time to remain in the presence of God. When and how do we do that?

Are there areas if life that need to be pruned so that I can produce more fruit? We begin a look at John 15 this week as I prepare to start summer and do some reflection on the various areas of life.

Do you also give well but are slow or reluctant to receive? How can we put our pride aside and receive from others and God in a way that honors the giver?

God loves a cheerful giver! This is more than just our money. What am I willing to give from my time, words, and presence? And what are you willing to give as well?

Do you long for rest? I pray that rest finds you, true rest from God.

As we prepare for Easter, a time of an ending and beginning in the life of Jesus, how do we think of ending well? What is most important in our life that we will focus our time on? I pray we look to our relationships and make others a priority as we think of how to end well.

Do you ever just feel teary? Do you want the quick fix or easy solution? Me too. What if we need to be okay with taking a little time to just sit in it and lean into the word of God for comfort. There is much comfort I was reading in Psalms 120-127 this evening. I share several verses and how I am learning to sit in a time of tears.

Do you, like me, desire peace in your relationships? The world? What does that mean and what does God want to give us? Internal peace or a lack of conflict?

I pray you can look around and in and find ways to prose God’s name this week and share that joy with other to encourage them and lift them up in this life!

Let us lift each other up with encouragement, hopefulness and confidence in the future.

Do you love and care for everyone around you with open hands and heart? Do you provide for the needs of your fellow man? Matthew 25:35-40 provides a blueprint for caring for others well. If you have not heard Bob Goff and his podcast, Dream Big, I highly recommend it. Also, his book, Everybody Always will challenge you to live more fully.

Am I the only one that has people in their lives that give them a hard time? What does Jesus say about loving those people? What can we do to bring love to those we meet and what type of things can we easily do to motivate and inspire each other?
