In the Resurrection, all barriers to Jesus are obliterated, giving us free access to the invitation to know Him. Through salvation and communion with Christ, we are invited into His dwelling, dominion and dynasty.

On the cross, King Jesus was enthroned because of suffering and death, establishing the kingdom of God not through force, but through grace. Through His death, we learn what it means to live rightly in light of the kingdom and suffering.

Through parables, Christ teaches how the kingdom will come in an unexpected way—through slow growth, even among the wicked, and without militant force. He also reveals how one gets into the kingdom—by being both childlike and repentant.

In the opening of Matthew’s Gospel, we see God’s promises to Abraham and David come to fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Under His kingship, our allegiance is to Christ and His kingdom.

We look at the story of God’s kingdom throughout all of Scripture, focusing on the themes of dwelling, dominion and dynasty.

Throughout Scripture, we see that there is spiritual power unleashed when the people of God sing—power to remember and be comforted, power to be integrated in heart and mind, and power over demonic oppression.

Does the Bible differentiate between what it means to be a male and a man? Are there distinct roles for men? We look at 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, which tells men to pay attention, stand firm in the faith and be strong in Christ.

In this season of longing for Christ’s return, we look to Mary’s song and her example of faithfulness in the waiting—living as God’s servant, acknowledging God as her Savior and telling the story of the great reversal that has come in Christ.

As we anticipate the second coming of Christ, we look back and reflect on the evidences of the already, not yet kingdom in our everyday lives, which stir in us a great hope and longing for Christ’s return.

We are drawn to stories, and the Church Calendar is a tool we can use to turn away from the world's false stories, reorienting our hearts toward the one true story of the gospel.
