Love Doesn’t Play Favorites.  Favoritism has no place in the Christian faith.  It is contrary to God's nature, the gospel of Jesus, and the mind of Christ.  Showing partiality is also contrary to the royal law: you shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. God's love is the key to overcoming partiality. 

Who do you trust?  The government?  Media?  Family? Do you trust God?  Is your faith genuine? Do we trust God's Word?  Are you listening to it, receiving it, and applying it?

Our faith is tested in times of trials and in times of temptations.  Will we trust God in times of temptation?  Do we believe that His commands flow from His infinite goodness?  Do we accept responsibility for our sins or do we blame God for the temptation and our giving in to it?

How can we continue to rejoice even when things are going horribly wrong?  James tells that, by God's grace, we can count it all joy even when we are in a season of trials by trusting God's plan.  He is not trying to harm us but working through trials to make us more like Jesus.
