This morning Vijay interviews Pastor Ashim Baroy who serves as Assistant Superintendent of the Baptist Church Sangha in Bangladesh. Pastor Baroy speaks of the joys and challenges of ministry in Bangladesh. Following the interview Vijay examines Acts 11.19

Our Youth Pastor, Gillian MacKenzie, looks at various passages in Scripture, highlighting the important quality of being an encourager. In a wider culture where humiliating people is often seen as a form of entertainment, God calls us to do something completely counter-cultural: become people who encourage others by means of our thought-life, speech and action.

It is difficult to trust Christ in our adversity. Vijay looks at the account of Peter (and Jesus) Walking on Water found in Matthew 14:22-33. He gleans insights from the passage and suggests that adversity, among other things, offers the disciple the opportunity to change their way of looking at life and to encounter Jesus for who he truly is.

Sometimes we are very slow to learn important lessons. James looks at a psalm in which the main point is emphasised no less than 13 times! It's Psalm 150 and the main point is 'Praise the LORD'.

Iain starts a new series entitled 'Christ is all that Matters'. These will be studies from the book of Colossians. The first sermon reminds us that our identity is firmly centered in Christ.

Vijay preaches from 2 Kings 5:1-19 this morning. He unpacks the story of Naaman's healing. He observes that one of the biggest hindrances to God healing and restoring us is that we are unwilling to humbly submit to God's prescription. God heals and restores us His way not ours. And if we seek to benefit from his healing, we need to relinquish complete control.
