Biblical Marriage is a two-person team where the husband leads by sacrificial love and the wife submits with godly respect. This is only possible where both have put on Christ, and the Spirit of Christ fills and empowers them.

Life is wonderful, but it has been damaged by the fall. We try to enjoy life with the right foot, but repeatedly we are reminded by the left foot that not all of life is wonderful. Therefore, Jesus came – to fix what was damaged in the Garden of Eden.

God wants us to simply trust and obey him. Failure to trust and obey God leads to sin. Sin is senseless. It only brings death. Through Christ, we have forgiveness and the power to conquer sin.

Jesus is the Door of the Sheep. He doesn’t come to trick us or trap us. He comes through the door, calling our name, and leads us out. He goes before us, and we follow him because we know his voice. In life, people lack the right skills and a sense of discernment, and they make foolish and costly decisions. Skillful living comes when we turn to God for wisdom and guidance. More specifically, true wisdom is Christ. When he becomes our life, we begin to live skillfully.

Jesus is the Light of the World. When we find ourselves worn down by life’s journey, he refreshes us. He fills us with joy and gladness. He quenches our every thirst. He lifts us up when we feel broken, and he gives us his vision for life.

Jesus is the Bread of Life. When we place our faith in him, he becomes our sustenance through life. He nourishes us before our darkest hours and through the longest wilderness. He leads us in the truth of God and reveals to us the wisdom of God. Unless you understand how God has canceled your sin debt towards him through his son Jesus, you will never truly understand how to cancel the sin debt of others towards you. Are you the servant who was forgiven a big debt but went out and took his fellow servant by the throat for a small debt? Have you ever experienced the forgiveness of sins? Are you saved?

Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, is bone of our bone and partaker of our flesh and blood. His very body that was placed in the tomb on Good Friday rose from the tomb on Easter Sunday. It was imperishable and immortal, not invisible and immaterial. God has designed us to live in today. Dwelling on yesterday will only bring regrets and worrying about tomorrow will only bring anxieties. Thank God for yesterday, trust him with tomorrow, but live for him and through him today. Remember, sufficient for the day is its own trouble, and Jesus is sufficient for today.

The kingdom of God is like a wedding to which everyone is invited. Unfortunately, not everyone accepts the invitation. But, if you do accept the invitation, don’t forget it’s a gracious gift. Dress appropriately. Your confession may get you in but it’s your clothing that will keep you in. Are you dressed in Christ’s righteousness?

Doubt is the Enemy’s choicest weapon against God’s people. He uses unanswered prayers to cause us to doubt God’s promises. God does not abandon us in our doubts. Instead, he reassures us that he will fulfill what he has promised. We are to trust him that he will work all things together for our good but in his timing.
