How do we walk through the pain of life? We remove the excuses and remember the truth that pain doesn't care who we are, pain is the result of our fallen world, pain is the result of sin, pain tests your faith, and pain displays God's power. Jesus wants to step into our pain. Someone will always object. But a simple act of obedience can change everything. We must walk in a new direction. After all...

What does Jesus say about busyness? The busier we are, the more distracted we will be, the more anxiety we will have, and the more frustrated we will get. What is the solution to busyness? Make Jesus your first priority, cultivate your relationships, learn to rest, and don’t be afraid to say no.

You can know the facts about Jesus without really knowing Jesus. What are signs that you know ... without really knowing? You say one thing but live another. You seek man’s applause more than God’s approval. You act superior without acknowledging God’s authority. You think being served is better than being humble. And you care more about outward looks than inward holiness.

The mission of Jesus must become the mission of the church. What would Jesus say to someone who thinks he never has enough? Jesus is worth going against the crowd. Jesus pursues those no one else can reach. Jesus saves those no one else thinks are worthy. And Jesus transforms those no one else can change.

There is a day coming when everyone will face judgment. The day of reckoning is for those who reject Christ. The day of rejoicing is for those who revere Christ. And the day of preparation is today.

Giving obediently honors a consistent God. How do we respond to a great God who never changes? We are thankful, our giving reveals our heart, and our level of obedience determines the blessing.

Worship is a waste of time when it’s about me instead of God. If we want our worship to be acceptable, we must honor the greatness of God, offer our best to God, and live with purity and honesty before God.

God’s Word is not to be taken lightly. And God’s Word will confront our way of living. Why do we question God’s love? We forget past miracles, get frustrated with present circumstances, and fail to see future blessings. We must avoid looking at the temporary, acknowledge God’s righteous judgment, and accept God’s generous mercy.

Just because you can’t rewrite your past doesn’t mean you have to repeat it. If you want to move beyond your past, receive God's forgiveness and remember that your past does not define or disqualify you. Develop godly friendships because new habits do not happen without new relationships. And change your focus: Keep your eyes on Jesus and eternity.

The labels others put on you were never meant to stick to you. To remove the labels, remember that God notices what others overlook, everyone will be led by fear or by courage, be faithful in the silent and in the sacred, use the strengths God has given you, and you are a champion, not just a contestant.

Our current reality is not our final destiny. God’s plan cannot be stopped. Four realities that keep us from experiencing God's plan for us: Not everyone will understand or rejoice with us. Not everyone will be prepared to face temptation. Not everyone will wait on God’s timing. And not everyone will see God’s purpose.

God will never call you to do something that you can do on your own. What are the excuses Moses gave? I don't know who I am. I don't know who you are. I don't know how to lead. I don't know what to say. I do know someone else is better. Will you give excuses, or will you trust and obey God?

The resurrection proves that Jesus isn’t the same as anyone else. Only Jesus shows real love. Only Jesus gives eternal life. Only Jesus is a personal Savior. 

Why is Good Friday so good? Jesus is there in our failure, in our discouragement, and in our suffering.

How can we forgive like Jesus calls us to forgive? Forgiven people forgive people. To forgive, we must realize what forgiveness isn't, keep the cross before us, make prayer a priority, and never forget the poison of unforgiveness.

The condition of our hearts determines the direction of our lives. Is your heart deceived, superficial, or distracted? Or is it devoted? A heart that is devoted hears the Word of God, holds onto the Word of God, and produces the Word of God.

Building your life on Jesus means learning what Jesus says, doing what Jesus says, being changed by Jesus, and living on mission with Jesus.

If you don't want to waste your life, run the race God has set before you with what you've been given, remember there will be a day but refuse to be paralyzed by fear, and recognize what your fruit reveals.
