Instead of reacting with fear or overzealous judgment, Jesus calls us to trust His timing;  the presence of weeds does not threaten God’s plan or His ultimate victory. God is patient, allowing time for repentance, but a day is coming when He will separate the wheat from the weeds.

 Do not be afraid! After warning his disciples of the danger they may face proclaiming the gospel, Jesus reassures us with the same message he gave to his original disciples: do not be afraid. As Jesus prepares his disciples to share the good news of salvation, he doesn't sugarcoat the negative, hostile reaction that some will have. After Jesus miraculously heals a paralytic and forgives him of his sin, Jesus shocks the religious leaders of his day by inviting a despised tax collector to be his disciple. More than that, he's then seen sharing a meal with sinners and tax collectors!
