SEGA Mixer Drive

SMD on a Sunday? Who would've believed it? Regardless of the whens and whys, the end-of-the-month VS Week must go on, and go on it did as the Dancers and the Escapologists went head-to-head. A lucky break, or a lucky escape? Listen and find out!

Overclocked Remix is to the community like Sonic is to Sega games with this show - coverage nearly every week. But what would happen if OC Remix is restrained from the show for one week only? See what happens when SMD thinks outside of the scene's box!

Rexy may have had a tooth pulled this week, but the show still went ahead in pre-recorded form. As well as 2 tight hours of remixes and discoverires, there was much to be heard from her recent outing at the London Anime & Gaming Con - keytar in tow!

It's the 4th of July, but the European-centered RadioSEGA doesn't seem to have heard of such thing as the 'Declaration of Independance'. Nevertheless, the first regular week of July no doubt had stars and stripes of a totally different kind...

June was a month for new music, and SEGA Mixer Drive was on hand to play through TWO new EPs in the same night! RobKTA took to the road with his OutRun album 'OutRax', plus there was the world exclusive first play of Jivemaster's 'Green Hill Sessions'!

Another year gone for Sonic the Hedgehog - that means 2 hours focused ENTIRELY on the blue blur that set hearts racing since 1991! It also turned out to be the night of distractions, including possums, the World Cup... and Giga Pudding. This is RadioSEGA!

The only regular week of June, and it had to happen RIGHT on the launch of the World Cup. Expect more Brazillian arranger content than the usual, plus a handful more remixes you've come to know and love. GOOOOOOOOOAL!

Fish Friday made a welcome return from the previous season, with 2 hours of aquatic, beachy and water-related tunes... but mostly Sonic and Ecco. Nevertheless, it's a great way to cool down after a hot Summer's day, isn't it?

The Weathermen and the Fanboys were the forces of the day in VS Week #3, but that didn't stop Brandon Strader from stepping in and co-commenting in one of the wackiest SMD episodes to date. It's about the wet goats, and the copy-cattle! #SeGoatMixerDrive

The last regular show of May was in a very busy news week, breaking a new record for the longest SMD episode this season! That didn't mean we were short on music, complete with one prediction that managed to literally happen... #NoRequestsDuringTheShow

This week's SMD brought in 2 hours worth of incredible Sega arrangements, complete with a high-profile remixer IRC visit, a warning against music thieves and... chickens? Nevertheless, if you don't get the podcast, you're a rotten egg! ...groan...

Returning from Season 1 is the Sega Saturn anniversary show - now with twice the music and no pre-recorded version! It's also a rare instance in which while Sonic can appear, he'd take a musical backseat - in this case to a certain purple flying jester...

In the first regular show since the SZRC2014, the evening's antics involved an OutRun new release sandwich, an unhealthy dose of Chemical Plant, promotion of 2 up and coming albums and... too much playing around with the microphone speed modulator. Eh??

For this show, Rexy became "Tails's retarded older sister" due to broadcasting live with a sore throat. But the second VS Week of the season went ahead - the Story Tellers vs the Industrial Builders! Were there Happy Ever Afters, or hammers ever harder?

Good Friday 2014 marked closure for OC Remix's Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014, going through a selection of work from the winning artist, all bonus tracks sent in, and many other escapades as well - ear chocolate without the tooth decay!

The finale of the Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 came by in this week's show... as well as more community gossip than anticipating and banter concerning a certain OTHER RadioSEGA show in the process. Where SMD is going, it could go anywhere!

This week's SMD took a break from the SZRC 2014 coverage and went back to a pure no-thrills regular show, just like the start of the season. But with fate being tempted on more than one occasion, it could be hardly ordinary, couldn't it?

After 2 months, the Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 Robotnik Bracket reached a... futile climax. Yet, the show didn't lose steam - playing through the winner-by-default, homages to Afterburner and SnappleMan... and an IRC visit from a certain Donnie??

This week’s SMD saw an Aqua Planet downpour in the Marble Garden as the Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 reached the Sonic Bracket Final. Combine that with upbeat trance, a VGMix throwback and the humor you’ve come to know, and Spring has truly begun!

Happy Pi Day! Tonight’s focus was meant to be on the Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 Robotnik Bracket Round 3, but there were Dwelling of Duels picks from the same past duels and other such insanity. But if European accents are your thing, you’re in the right place!

First there was 16... now the Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 Sonic Bracket is down to just three arrangers. Those entries got played plus many others in a gradual shift to show normality... though I'd hardly call pie and bacon "normal", do you think?

How uncanny is it for the Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 to happen so close to Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras in the USA); so much that with 4 days before the date, it's the "Pancakes'" - or Robotnik Bracket's - turn for round 2. And how well-fed were we!

The Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 went onto Round 2 of the Sonic Bracket, composing entirely of close calls… and one or two PINGAS references, apparently. Coupled with plenty of other SEGA remixes, could this be one of the funniest SMD episodes yet?

SMD’s Sonic Zone Remix Competition 2014 coverage continued with Round 1 of the Robotnik Bracket. Displeased with trying to dance semi-naked, his crooning for Valentine’s Day used 15 artists going head-to-head… and no shortage of scrambled eggs either!

During Winter 2014, the Sonic Zone Remix Competition returned at OC Remix’s competitions area, with 32 arrangers making remixes in a knockout tournament. This week had Round 1 of the Sonic Bracket and a first glimpse of what’s to come… and then some!
