Selected verses from Acts 13.

Selected Verses from Acts 8. Philip never missed an opportunity to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In Acts 8, we see him preaching in Samaria, in Judea, and back in Samaria again. And each time he preached, people responded. When was the last time you shared your faith with others? Has God placed someone on your mind that you need to share the Gospel with?

Acts 8:1, 11:19-21. The believers were scattered when persecution came. Yet, they continued sharing their faith wherever they went. If you are facing a time of difficulty right now, it is not the time to quit sharing your faith. Allow God to work through your times of difficulty while you continue doing what He has called you to do.

Acts 2:42-47. We can learn a lot from the early church in Acts 2. Because of their unity, God gave them favor with others and added to their numbers daily. What can we do in our home towns if we became as unified as the early church?

Acts 1:8. Jesus called His disciples to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judaea, Samaria and the uttermost part of the earth. Did you know each of these locations represent an ever widening circle of influence? Are you doing the things God has called you to do, to reach your ever widening circle?

Matthew 14:22-32.

Selected verses from Acts 8. In today’s episode, we see a man named Phillip who was obedient to the calling of God and the leading of the Spirit on his life.

Saul thought he was doing what God wanted him to do. He came away a new after spending time with Jesus. He, too, learned that he could also do all things through Christ. Very few had suffered like Paul suffered yet through it all, Paul remained faithful to his calling.

Acts 6:8-10, 12-13, 7:54-60. Stephen was a man who lived out this verse. Scripture says that he full of faith and power. And some people did not like that faith he lived.

Philippians 4:13, 1:11, John 15:5, Ephesians 2:10. Philippians 4:13 is my absolute, without a doubt favorite verse of Scripture. This verse assures me that through the strength of Jesus, I can do the things that God has called.

1 Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 9:28, Ephesians 6:18, Romans 8:26. Prayer must have a prominent place in our lives. Paul tells the church in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. Is that really possible in our world today? Yes, I believe it is. Is prayer essential to your life, or does your prayers reflect a list like kids would give to Santa Claus at Christmastime?

James 5:7-8, 2 Peter 3:15.

Luke 11:4, Colossians 3:13.

1 Peter 5:5, Philippians 2:8

1 Peter 1:15-16. God expects us to live our life for Him. We must live dedicated to God each day. We can only do it if we remain in Jesus.

1 John 2:9-11, 1 John 4:19-20. We see several times in the letters of John that we must love others. Again i ask, How is your love?

1 John 3:18, 16-17. John is making this love idea personal. What are you doing today to show you love for someone else?

1 John 4:7-11

1 Corinthians 13:8. There are may ways to show people we love them. The question is this, do we actually love others?

Ephesians 2:19-22, 11-13. Do you ever feel unloved, or unneeded? If so, then you need to hear this. You are more than what you think. Listen and find out who you, as a Christian, are to God.

2 Kings 5:12-15. In his rage, Naaman thought he could wash in rivers close to home and still get the same results. That is not how the instructions of God work. Through Elisha, God gave Naaman specific instructions on what to do to get his healing. If Naaman had not followed those instructions, he would not have received his healing. 2 Kings 5:6-11. When we are seeking healing, or seeking an answer to prayer, it’s important to remember that God knows all, and has our best interest at heart. So, in return, we must trust Him for our needs and our healings. Do you?

2 Kings 5:3-5. Naaman had a problem-He was a leper. In his time, if you had leprosy, you were considered an outcast. But someone knew where to go for help. Here is something to think about, you know where to go for all of life’s problem, but are you directing people to the Great Physician?

2 Kings 5:1-2. Naaman had a problem that only God could handle. He was a leper, and needed healing and cleansing from leprosy. All of us has something in our lives that only God can handle. Pray, ask God what is blocking you from the best God has. Then, ask God to remove it so you can be the best you can be.

Ephesians 5:8. Paul warns us, much like Peter did in yesterday’s episode, to be careful about false teachers and false teachings. As born again Christians, we no longer walk in the darkness of sin, so let the light of God expose false teachings.
