We discuss a bit about the book of Mormon itself, the incredibly difficult journey of the Jaredites in closed vessels across the ocean for almost an entire year, and their desire for a king. Oh the foolishness of men- Helaman 12.

In this episode we discuss Ether 4. There's a lot about faith, the coming of the sealed portion, the book of Revelation and how to determine what is truth. We also discuss Matthew 23 because I had recently read it to my boys and there were some things to think about in there too that related!

In this chapter we read Ether chapter 1 and go over it verse by verse. I never really noticed before how Jared and his brother got to bring their friends and family with them. Also the Lord answered their prayers, but they had to ask first!

We talk about the clear doctrine of Christ, receiving the Holy Ghost, receiving answers to problems and questions, feasting upon the words of Christ, praying and more. Nephi is so clear and loving in calling us to repent and to follow Jesus.

In this episode we read the verses from 2 Nephi 25 and talk about the importance of studying Isaiah, the Jews missing the Savior when He came due to their over observance of the law and missing the point, and then we talk about the gospel and following our Lord Jesus Christ who loves us so very, very much!

We talk about Alma's excellent sermon on faith being like a seed that we have to care for, and many of the great examples of faith in Hebrews 11.

We go over Alma 31, how the word of God is more powerful than the sword, what the Zoramites were doing, how they had become full of pride and what pride leads to. We talk about Alma's reaction, his prayer for strength and for his companions and how that prayer was answered . We reference D&C 10:5, Mosiah 3:19 and Matthew 15:8-9.

Alma 32: 1-17 A group of people were cast out of the synagogues they had built because of of their poverty and their poor clothing. This made them humble and open to seeking the Lord. There are some interesting observations to talk about in these less discussed verses! Thanks for listening!
