Scotch 4 Dummies

This has been a topic from a lot of our reviews.  We have talked about it many times but have never actually put ourselves to the test.  Tonight, we're going to taste, smell, and see if we can see color changes from E150 and determine if it does change your whisky.

Ever wanted to host your own scotch tasting but not sure where to start?  Tonight we'll talk bout the do's and don'ts, scotch in the news, and a game we like to play "What's in the Dram?"

We're pretty excited to try this bottle as we've have been talking about how bottlers are using different casks to change-up the scotch finishes to get creative.  Dewar's was one of the first to market with this Mezcal cask.  How did it do for a $25 bottle?

We have a lot of love for Ardbeg and have put out a lot of reviews recently from their lineup.  Today, we get our hands on their new bottle, Ardbeg Blaaack.  It's a Committee 20th Anniversary limited edition and we're super excited to give it a try.

This should be an interesting topic to discuss for this week's live.  We've been known to make a big deal out of ABV for years, but as we get more experience, we're starting to appreciate more and more what some of these distilleries are doing.  We might even throw in a few blind tests...

The boys reviewed Peat Monster back in 2017.   The 2019 version has a recipe change compared to the 2007 bottle.  Is it for the better?  Let's find out!

We talk about a lot of things Scotch-related, and I'm sure you've heard us mention the SWA a few times in passing.  Tonight, we're going to understand more about this association and how it impacts us all.

We go back in time to re-review a bottle that made a big splash on our scotch journey.  Back in 2016 we tried this bottle for the first time and was blown away....you might say frightened as well.  In 2020, we take a trip back and get it another shot to see how we like it now.

There are 3 main ingredients for producing Scotch Whisky.  We'll do our best to fit its discussions on each one during this one-hour live show.

If you can believe it, Andrew bought this bottle and shared it with the boys for a review.  Needless to say, we were shocked.....but happy to give it a try.   Johnnie Walker 18 was mentioned as a comparison, can this be a better bottle?  Let's find out!

We finally got our hands on the new Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve Rum Finish that we've been hearing about.  We're not strangers to The Glenlivet line and really appreciate the history and what they produce.  This bottle, however, was a bit of bummer and only one of us gave it a good review.  Which one was it?  Does anyone want to guess?  :-)

We picked up this bottle during a run for a couple of Glenfiddich's.  The color alone stood out to us and after Mark saw it, he said, "Grab it Drew".  Pretty glad we did!  We hope you enjoy the review.

Going back to 2016 and our #4 review of Glenfiddich 18.  It's been a while so we thought we'd see if anything has changed including our rating.

This week's review is our first official Glen Scotia review.  We all heard great things about this bottle and decided to pick it up for a review.  Glad we did...I think you'll be surprised with the results.

Dewar's is on fire these days winning multiple awards.  They're no stranger to being a super seller of scotch and in popularity among consumers.  The boys jump right in and give this 15 a try - let's see how it turns out.
