My name is Daniel Faucett. I am a father and a husband. I believe in Reformed Christian apologetics, and I attempt to make a clear case for the truth of Christ found in the Gospel. I hope to declare the reality of His saving grace with humility, patience, and respect. I believe the scientific enterprise and philosophy also point to God in many areas, and I attempt to highlight those areas here and through the SFR website (scifr.com).If you are an atheist, agnostic, Arminian, Orthodox, Catholic, or Non-denominational, I welcome you and hope to build your trust over time as we engage in these

Balancing Truth & Love in Christian Apologetics | SFR ep. 24 24.06.2023

In this episode, I explain the importance of presenting Christian apologetic material with truth and love, not one or the other. If we have not love, we are nothing, but if we have not truth, then we can't be anything regardless. We must balance truth and love, with a hope for all unbelievers' salvation. We cannot compromise truth to avoid offending others, but we shouldn't engage with nonbeliever...

"Why are you a Christian?” - Atheist Interviews His Christian Brother | The Belief Dialogues ep. 02 17.06.2023

In this video, I (Daniel) share my testimony with my agnostic-atheist brother John in the second episode of The Belief Dialogues. To start our discussion, I explain that what led me to faith in Christ was a spiritual need for forgiveness from my violations of the Moral Law. In this episode, various concepts are discussed between the two of us, such as: the concept of conviction, the Moral Law, are...

“Why Are You An Atheist?” Christian Interviews his Atheist Brother | The Belief Dialogues - ep. 01 03.06.2023

In this episode, I (Daniel, a Christian and a Science Teacher) question my brother (John, a software engineer) about his Agnostic-Atheism. I ask him why he believes what he believes and what evidence would change his mind about God's existence. Here is a friendly discussion between two brothers about their differing beliefs. We discuss Richard Dawkins view of atheism, how to think about the world,...

Is it Time for Women to Pastor the Modern Church? | SFR ep. 23 29.03.2023

In this episode, I look into 1st and 2nd Timothy as well as Ephesians, and discuss the role of women in church structure. 1st Timothy 2:12 says (NASB), "12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a wrongdoer." T...

Why the Devil Hates Male Leadership feat. Shepard Merritt | SFR ep. 22 07.01.2023

In this episode, Shepard Merritt and I sit down to discuss the importance of Biblical male leadership in a family unit, and postulate reasons why the Devil hates the father's leadership role in the home. Here are two reasons the Devil hates male leadership: (1) All institutions need an authority, and without authority there is anarchy. The Devil loves anarchy. Look at any institution worth its sal...

The Question No Atheist Can Answer ep. 21 01.01.2023

Can anything be objectively and absolutely morally wrong from a godless worldview? Without being made in the image of God, can one reason from what "is" (biology) to how we "ought" to act? In this episode, I breakdown the moral argument as presented by various theists and Christian apologists, and analyze if a godless worldview can objectively ground morality. The moral argument goes like this: Pr...

Progressive Christians Believe the Bible is NOT from the Mind of God?? ep. 20 23.07.2022

In this episode, I break down the youtube video of Progressive Christian YouTuber and pastor, Colby Martin. He argues that since the Bible is a "translation of a translation of a translation," we cannot know for sure what the original author's message really was in the biblical text. He also claims that since there are so many "contradictions" in the Bible, it cannot be trusted. Another assertion...

Does Truth Exist? (Part 2) Polyamory, KJV Onlyism, and Predestination! feat. Global Vagrant ep. 19 24.06.2022

This is Part 2 to the video, "Does Truth Exist?" In this video, we discuss many different topics with regards to truth, such as family structures, transgender ideology, societal norms and lack of morals, King James Onlyism, and when KJV Onlyism can be a dangerous extra-Biblical doctrine for Christians. We discuss predestination and free will, and whether faith is a gift or something we can form on...

Does Truth Exist? (Part 1) feat. Global Vagrant ep. 18 18.06.2022

In this video, I sit down with Global Vagrant (the YouTuber who reviews countries/attractions all over the world), to discuss the concept of truth. Does truth exist in an absolute sense? Or is truth relative? Can we determine truth for ourselves? If I identify as something, does that mean I am that thing? It is really important to understand that many secular life philosophies and perspectives are...

Our Passion for Star Wars and its Christian Symbolism feat. College Minister Reed Chambers ep. 17 18.05.2022

In this episode, I sit down with long time friend and International Student Ministry leader at Gadsden State Community College, Reed Chambers. We discuss our passion for the Star Wars saga, our experience growing up with the premieres to the prequels were coming out, as well as Christian symbolism in the series as a whole, such as the virgin birth of Anikin, the corruption of the Sith, and the inf...

What Came First: Proteins or DNA? An Argument for Intelligent Design ep. 16 11.05.2022

In this episode, I discuss the Central Dogma of Molecular Biology, which is the observation that all living things have DNA, RNA and Protein, and that DNA codes for RNA, and RNA codes for Protein. This "DNA -> RNA -> Protein" system undergirds all living things on Earth. The question is this: Could this system come about by random chance in the prebiotic soup of the early Earth? Assuming the...

In this episode, I interview Jacob about his experience as an employee at the Daily Wire, the conservative news company stationed in Nashville, TN. From how he got hired onto the Member Experience Team at DW to how he met Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro at a company party; we discuss it all and everything in between. He shares insights into how the company is run, how the employees are treated, wh...

3 Bad KJV Only Arguments: Part 2 - Isaiah 14:12 vs. Revelation 22:16 / 1 John 5:7 / Acts 8:37 ep. 14 27.12.2021

This is Part 2 of 3 Bad KJV Only Arguments. In this second half of my podcast, I discuss three ungrounded arguments that are often presented by King James Onlyists (AKA the KJV Onlyism movement). The first argument is the supposed conflation of Jesus and the Devil in how modern translations render the word Latin word "lucifer" (and the Hebrew word "helel") at Isaiah 14:12 ; which makes Jesus and t...

3 Bad KJV Only Arguments: Part 1 - Breaking Down the King James Bible Only Movement ep. 13 27.12.2021

In this video, I discuss the King James Only movement, focusing on how we should judge Bible translations. All Bible translations should be judged on how accurately they depict the original writings of the authors of the Bible, not on how close they resemble the King James Version. There are several good and honest modern Bible translations, such as the NASB, ESV, and NKJV, all of which are bizarr...

God Came to Make Dead People Live / The Gospel Presentation / ep. 12 22.08.2021

In this message, I discuss four questions in relation to the Gospel: 1. What is our natural condition as humans?  2. How should we see lost people?  3. How are we Saved?  4. When are We Saved?   #TheGospel #Apologetics #GraceOfGod #Christianity   The key verses in my message are Ephesians 2:1-10, Titus 3:1-3, Matthew 19:23-26, Jonah chapter 4, Romans 3:23, 6:23, 10:9, 10:1...

Abraham Piper (John Piper's Son) is a Raging Atheist on TikTok?? ep. 11 02.05.2021

In this video, I compare and contrast two videos of John Piper's Son, Abraham Piper. In one video, the young man seems to be what you would expect from the son of a well-known pastor as he introduces his father on stage. In the next video, 11 years later, Abraham makes a TikTok video attacking a passage in Ecclesiastes 4:1-3. For whatever reason, something has turned off this man from Christianity...

Five Applications of Noah's Ark to Modern Times ep. 10 09.03.2021

n this sermon, I share 5 applications of Noah's Ark to the modern era. These five points are: 1. The path is wide that leads to destruction.  2. God has asked all of us to do something big.  3. If we really believe something is going to happen, our actions follow our belief.  4. The road to destruction is a gentle slope.  5. Destruction is coming again, but there is a way of es...

Can Christians "Unclobber" Leviticus? Response to a Progressive Christian Sermon ep. 9 13.02.2021

In this video, I (Daniel Faucett) offer a thorough review of Colby Martin's sermon named "Unclobbering Leviticus". In his sermon, the up and coming progressive pastor attempts to make the case that the Levitical Law did not prohibit same-sex acts, as long as they were committed by individuals identifying as homosexual. This pastor claimed that the Levitical Law only prohibits those who identify as...

What is Progressive Christianity? ep. 8 29.01.2021

In this video, I look at Colby Martin's version of Progressive Christianity --> a movement that seeks to replace God and His Word with perspectival revisions that are culturally appealing. #ProgressiveChristianity #ColbyMartin #Conservative #Christian #Jesus #Liberal --------------------------------LINKS--------------------------------- Listen to The Science Faith & Reasoning Podcast anywhe...

Faucett Sermon on The Sting of Death / Steven Huddleston ep. 7 26.01.2021

Here's is my sermon from Jan. 24th. As Christians, when we die, we win. To God be the glory.  Romans 8:28, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." (ESV)  1st Corinthians 15:50-58, "I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperis...

If These Were My Last Words ep. 6 19.09.2020

Morbidly one afternoon I thought to myself, what would I want my last words to be? With that in mind I figured, well, it'd be best to talk about my favorite Bible verses. For it is the Word of God that has had the greatest impact on my life, and I know it is only God's power that can do the same to others.

Are Fetuses Human Beings? ep. 4 27.06.2020

In this video, I go over scientific reasoning for why unborn babies are human beings that are entitled to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I focus on part b of my argument for Life, which is detailed below: a. Fetuses are living things at all stages (according to scientific consensus) b. Fetuses are humans at all stages (individuals, with unique human properties and unique human geneti...
