Dad and Sam made convection oven tofu and pasta... Didn't come out that great. Our conversation went all over the place tonight - from misheard words to ...well... To tell the truth i don't remember. I forgot to take notes on what we talked about this week...

Eli and Dad made Hamburger Helper. We started off by hearing about Sam's fascination with fan fiction. Dad had an interview for his band and brought one of the questions to the table - what two songs would you take to a desert island. We also had some News From the Farm. Enjoy!

The kids had their first day back at school. Neurodivergents will know, that this can bring up complicated feelings - excitement about seeing friends, but difficulty with the change in routine. Both came home with headaches. Sam blamed their anxiety, and Eli blamed auditory sensory overload and wore headphones at the dinner table. It was a tough dinner, but very real.

Sam is back! Yay! Dad and Eli made pasta and Air Fried chicken nuggets. We all volunteered at the animal sanctuary that Mom works for, on Saturday, so we talked about that a lot.

Sam is still away... And we talk about how we notice that. Dad made pasta and black beans because he was exhausted. We talk a little bit about politics and we talk a lot about our neighbors playing Corn Hole. Yes... We're a little nosey... In a fun way, we think. 😁

Mom made pancakes for dinner. No news from the farm today, because Mom doesn't work there on Tuesdays. We discussed Mom's mouth, the stinky car, how a gerbil drinks and Sam wondered if one of our former neighbors is okay.

Sam and Eli made hot dogs for us. It seems we have a new segment - News From The Farm, where Mom tells about the animals at her work. We also talked about when we would have our "Bacon Weekend", Sam's moth story and that no one is listening to each other tonight!

Mom cooked Udon noodles with a peanut sauce and roasted tofu and broccoli. We talked about Eli and Sam as babies, visit colleges, and Mom's stories about how she got into community college.

Kids cooked Tortellini for them and gnocchi for dad. Topics discussed included Sam getting their license, Eli's stim (blowing on his fingers), and Sam being a natural with kids (to their dismay). Enjoy!

Monday was Mommy's birthday, and it just turns out that on this day we talked a lot about Mommy - her age, her eyes, and her ADHD mouth. Other topics discussed included working at the farm, birthday months and what tv show we should watch next.

This is a real long one... But we think it's quite enjoyable! Sam told us about their day working at the camp, and the story they're working on. So, we talked about dragon poo, how mermaids poo and Mom kept making turkey noises.

The kids cooked and, big surprise, they chose to cook pasta... Just pasta. Daddy had an announcement about his health situation. There were quite a lot of topics covered during this meal, including violin teachers and the naming of the spongy toys.

This is a long one folks... Which is funny because dinner was a super simple one - Mom made grilled cheeses. Unfortunately, Dad didn't take notes, so we don't know what we talked about, except that a large chunk had to do with how Sam named their sponge babies. Enjoy!

Dad made dinner - chickpea stir fry with leftover cabbage stir fry that Mom had made. We finally ate outside on our back deck! Talked about walkie talkies, Sam signing up for the driving test, Sam's work and Mom tried to help Sam with their senior project.

Sam and Dad cooked the "Summer Dish", which is Fettuccine with tomatos, onions and mozzarella balls. Topics discussed included Stranger Things (no spoilers), sprinkles, Mom's toe and colleges. There was a good amount of laughter this evening.

Eli and dad made grilled chicken and.... Surprise, surprise... Pasta. It took a while for the conversation to get going, seemed like everyone was tired. The main topic seemed to end up being a box of chocolates that Eli was given.

Eli made Sloppy Joe's for dinner. We talked about Mom's TENS unit and how it works, the kids' love of the show "What We Do in the Shadows" and Sam's struggle sometimes with tone of voice when they are trying to be sarcastic.

Tonight, Sam made steak with a butter and herb sauce, which came out quite delicious, and pasta. Subjects we discussed included Mom's work on the farm, movies and trying to piss off the star trek/star wars community and much more!

Sam and Dad cooked. Sam's choice was minestrone with ground beef. We ate out on the front deck and talked about Dad skipping pages when reading books to the kids, and how many motorcycles constitute a "gang".
