Yes, we are going from a James Patterson kids book to The Bible. We got r...

It's the inaugural episode of The Salt Circle Book Club and this week the fates have decreed that we read and talk about The Dangerous Days of Daniel X. If you, like Ben, are wondering why, don't worry Hank opens the episode with an explanation. This is a remarkably bad book, and a series that is much darker than it seems to realize.  Email: SaltCirclePodcast@gmail.com Twitter: @SaltCirclePod...

Ben and Hank are talking about the hotest game on the market in 2019: Titanfall 2. With the release of Apex Legends and the announcement of no Titanfall 3 happening, fond memories of Titanfall 2 are in the air again which resulted in Ben finally playing it. It was Hank’s game of the year back in 2016 so an episode of the podcast about it seemed appropriate. Also the two of them played the multipla...

This week Ben and Hank are talking about Hank’s favorite movie from 2018: Boots Riley’s Sorry To Bother You . They start by talking a bit of spoiler-free thoughts and the basic set-up before diving into spoilers and getting to the truly nuts stuff that really makes the movie great. This movie has so much going on but its best stuff is not something we want to spoiler so just be aware.   Email...

Hank prepared a list of first issues of comic books for Ben to read and he went through all of them. It’s a diverse spread, a little heavy on Marvel stuff, of comics that came out from 2007 to 2016. This is an episode where we’re both diving fully in and not actually going that deep on any particular thing as we blow through 16 different single issues. They’re all accessible jumping on points so e...

Look, I'm gonna be real with you, we recorded this awhile ago and I don't really remember what we talked about. It certainly wasn't the topic (Shakespeare's Othello) the whole time. So yea. I got nothing.  Have a nice day.  Email: SaltCirclePodcast@gmail.com Twitter: @SaltCirclePod Hank's Twitter: @ComicPanels Ben's Twitter: @Bean_LP Logo Artist: bellamy.world/

This week we’re talking about 3 movies that are all some variation of an attack on a building. We already did our christmas discussion of Die Hard , so the 3 movies we’ve watched for this episode are The Raid: Redemption , Dredd , and Attack the Block .   Also as a fun game, guess which one Ben didn’t like!   Email: SaltCirclePodcast@gmail.com Twitter: @SaltCirclePod Hank's Twitter: @Com...

After talking about doing it for a long time, Ben and Hank finally record a podcast on Homer’s The Iliad. WARNING THIS IS NOT A NORMAL EPISODE.   It’s Christmas time once again so Ben and Hank are sitting down to do a running commentary over a Christmas movie once again. This also serves as a bit on an intro to an upcoming episode on movies about attacks on buildings.  Die Hard is one of the absolute best action movies and a highly influential one, so it's always worth rewatching.  Emai...

It’s part 4 of our ongoing Godzilla Championship Bracket. This week is the wonkiest selection of films, the price of making the pairings in other weeks work better. We’re into the start of the Heisei era with The Return of Godzilla and Godzilla vs Biollante, but we’re jumping around in time for movies to pair with them. Jumping ahead just a bit for Godzilla vs Mothra: The Battle for Earth and back...
