The Rutgers University–Camden community honors the life and contributions of Craig Westman, vice chancellor for enrollment management, whose leadership and steady commitment to students shaped meaningful aspects of the university’s progress over the past decade. 

Adayna Wallace, a sophomore visual arts major, turned her pandemic hobby of crocheting into a passion project. People often stop her on campus to ask about her woven work, which has grown into an entire collection. The first-generation student, who balances a full arts course load with an on-campus job, clubs, and a new role as an RA, plans to develop a crochet club at the university.

The long fight for constitutional gender equality took center stage at Rutgers Law School in Camden when the Women’s Law Caucus, Rutgers Law School Alumnae Network, and the Minority Student Program co-hosted a program examining the past, present, and future of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) in honor of Women’s History Month.

Rutgers–Camden recently hosted acclaimed, bestselling author Liz Moore for an intimate look at the writer’s career and process as part of its Writers in Camden series.    

On February 18, students, faculty, and staff gathered in the Campus Center to celebrate the university’s launch of the Rutgers–Camden AI Campus, a new initiative designed to position the campus as a regional hub for applied artificial intelligence learning. The effort reflects Rutgers–Camden’s commitment to shaping one of the most transformative fields of the 21st century.

Since enrolling at Rutgers–Camden in fall 2024, Jacob Dinerman has dominated in cross country as well as indoor and outdoor track and field for the Scarlet Raptors. For the liberal studies major and third-generation Rutgers student, competitive running has served as a through line during triumphs and setbacks.

Five men serving decades-long prison sentences received clemency in recent weeks with help from a clinic at Rutgers Law in Camden. Their work on complex petitions, completed through the Expungement Law Project and with the ACLU of New Jersey (ACLU-NJ), contributed to successful commutations in these high-profile cases involving extreme sentencing and disputed evidence.
