Runs In The Park

On this week’s episode, Nevin and Fran travel to Tramore Valley parkrun (Not Tramore parkrun) in Co. Cork for their 155th event on 31 May 2025.  

On this week’s episode, Nevin and Fran venture to Lurgan parkrun in Co. Armagh in Northern Ireland on 17 May 2025. We chat with Dwyer who was Run Director on the day and we also catch up with Brian who was volunteering.

This week, Fran and Nevin head to County Tyrone on 10 May 2025 to speak with Run Director, Nick who invited us to attend the inaugural event of the stunning Loughmacrory parkrun. Fran and Nevin also reflect on an early start that same morning as they walked at Darkness Into Light in Malahide.  

On this week’s episode, Nevin and Fran travel to the beautiful Sligo parkun in the West of Ireland on 29 March 2025. We talk about the route itself, the wonderful volunteers and the gorgeous, surrounding areas of Sligo. We also discuss some parkrun county trivia.

On this week’s episode, Nevin brings his mother, Eileen, to her first parkrun ever at the beautiful Illaunmanagh parkrun in Shannon, Co. Clare on 22 March 2025.  

On this week’s episode, Fran and Nevin return to the site of Fran’s first parkrun at Laytown Beach on International Women’s Day, 8 March 2025. Fran also reminisces about his first parkrun here almost 1 year ago to the day before we also discuss the amazing achievement of an Irish parkruner who completed his 24th parkrun country at the weekend.

On this week’s episode, Fran and I travel to the incredible Knockanacree Woods parkrun in Co. Tipperary on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning (19 October 2024). We discuss wearing blue on the day as part of the Sanctuary Runners Ireland Global Solidarity Run as well as the amazing parkrun itself and the wonderful volunteers and runners who we met on the day. 

On this week’s episode, Fran and I make the short commute to Darndale parkrun in North Dublin on 12 October 2024. In line with this month’s sub-theme of OctSober, Fran and I celebrate our OctSoberversary. We also chat with parkrun ambassador Wes Kenny about his parkrun journey to date. 

On this episode I interview my friend Niall, a sub 20 minute 5k runner, about his parkrun and running experiences to date.
