Running Mixtapes by TO3Y
My name is Toby Hilden. I used to listen to this music at all night parties, now... it powers me through my long runs over the hilly streets of San Francisco. To create these runner's mixtapes, I draw on musical influences deeply rooted in the progressive house music scene of Salt Lake City and San Diego circa 1992. I make my mixes for like minded soles who are motivated by the smooth beats of house, the pulse of electronic dance music... and like me, who are amused by 80's dancehall and nerd core. Run Happy.

Medically Induced Nostalgia 22.09.2025 1:37:41
She smiled and guided me back. The lighting was warm, the sofa was soft… but music in the wellness center sounded like the soundtrack from a futuristic aquarium. Ambient sounds well intentioned and safe, but when mixed with the medicine, only made me empty and a little sad. I dug deep into my memory, and deeper into the record bins and came up with a wellness soundtrack that stimulated my memory a...
Running Mixtape #60 By TO3Y - we used to dance 18.08.2021 49:47
For the upcoming San Francisco half marathon, running mix sixty opens with a love letter to the 90's San Francisco house scene: We used to dance. The most San Francisco house song of which I could think. I then shamelessly pile on the mid 90's nostalgia with Hardkiss, Drum Club and Basement Jaxx. Be safe. be a good neighbor. Run happy. We used to dance: Dubtribe (Muzique tropique's glasqow funk mi...
Running Mixtape #59 By TO3Y 27.07.2021 44:07
Starting off low and slow. A pavement pounder with a build up at the end. And...I finally answered the question...how can I get Monster Magnet, Moby and Trio to dovetail together on a running mix. This may or may not have worked... let me know. For the rest, I drew inspiration 90s and 00s for much of this one, deep cuts and remixes. I did surface to the present day with "I miss you" by Elypsis....
