not a single marriage around me is aspirational. it’s completely illogical. the endless arguments, the barely concealed disgust, the endless bristling, the normalised wilful blindness to the lies, the last to know about the blatant affair. why anybody signs up for a lifetime of that just for a couple of kids and once a month sex will always baffle me.
