Romans 1:16-23 We again look at the clarity of general revelation, the culpability of suppression, and the necessity of special revelation in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:16-25 Because of the noetic effects of sin, fallen humanity clearly perceives God's eternal power and divine nature in creation, yet willfully suppresses this truth in unrighteousness, leaving all people without excuse before the Holy God. Therefore, it drives us to our only hope, which is the righteousness of God, revealed in the gospel.

Romans 1:16-32 God never reveals to us our disease without also revealing the remedy. He never exposes our guilt without setting forth His Son. He never shows us the curse without pointing us to the one who became a curse for us.

Romans 1:16-18 The righteousness God requires is the righteousness God provides.

Romans 1:8-17 The righteousness required by God is supplied by God through Jesus Christ.

Hosea 6:1-3 The covenant Lord wounds His people through conviction in order to heal them through repentance, revive them through grace, and restore them to the joyful knowledge of Himself.

Romans 1:1-7 Consider the Gospel,proclaimed to the nations, the Gospel producing the obedience of faith, and finally, the Gospel existing for the glory of God.

Matthew 16:13-18 Our world has endless opinions about Jesus. They call him a prophet, a teacher, an influencer, a moral example. But Jesus does not ask for a review. He demands a confession. Scripture calls us to the only answer that will stand up under the judgment of God, that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. And so we see the inadequacy of public opinion.

Genesis 16:1-16 Abraham and Sarah had a promise from God, but they also had a clock in their head, and it was ticking. Years past and trust gave way to impatience. What followed wasn't rebellion, but it was impatience masquerading as obedience. This story shows us what happens when waiting just feels absolutely unbearable, when waiting and trusting God's timing feels way too slow.

Romans 1:1-7 The gospel is God's covenantal message, concerning His Son, promised in Scripture, proclaimed to the nations, producing the obedience of faith and ultimately, always, ultimately, aimed at the glory of the triumphant God.

Hosea 5 When people cling to outward religion while refusing true repentance, God eventually strips away every false refuge and exposes the soul to His holy judgment.

Romans 1:1-7 The sovereign God of the covenant claims his people as bondslaves, calls them affectionately and sets them apart for the gospel of his son, so that we might live under Christ's Lordship for the advancement of his kingdom.

1 Samuel 25 The Lord providentially restrains His people from sin.

Psalm 6 When we recognize our sin, we are to approach a merciful God, confident He will hear us.

Hosea 4:1-19 When a people reject the knowledge of God, they inevitably descend into moral corruption, spiritual blindness, and covenant judgment.
