HOT TAKE ALERT Citizens United | More Perfect CORRECTION: 4.5% interest on $500,000 is $22,500 annually, meaning a $1,875 check each month. I still think I could live off of that... but my point is not that having $500,000 in cash makes you a member of the 1%, just that having capital makes meeting basic expenses a LOT easier.
