It only makes sense that after Justin and Chris from Prey Brewing introduce us to their West Coast IPA, a Hazy IPA makes a good chaser! This Hazy, Life & Death comes out of a collaboration with Tap Room. Focusing more on the Dank hops this beer has that thumbprint dry finish that every Prey beer has had so far.

Justin from Prey Brewing likes to make crushable beers that you can have more then one of and his take on the Breaker West Coast IPA follows suit. A light bodied and floral yet dry IPA, Breaker is a easy drinking gateway to the Hop Highway in Vista

Brewers like to make beer that they can drink a lot of and not get completely destroyed. A perfect example of this Justin and Chris from Prey Brewing brought in today, another sub 5% ABV American Light Lager called Prairie Wolf.

In a quest to shine a light on more of the new breweries around town, this week we hang out with Justin and Chris from Prey Brewing in Vista. Tucked inside the Rylan Apartments Prey does more then just beer, they also focus on cocktails and food. First up a crushable Light Mexican Lager, Tres Rondas.

It's been a great week getting to know the team behind Fox Point Brewing and Farms. With the rain and cooler weather today, Greg and Brian couldn't have picked a better beer to wrap up the week. Full Send Stout offers up hints of chocolate and raspberry with an incredibly light and drinkable body, but be careful because the ABV is a bit more then you'd expect for as easy as it drinks.

Wrapping up a fantastic week with AleSmith as they brought one more beer from their line up of Coffee & Beer collaborations! Tapping an Ohio brewery Masthead Brewing for a good Ohio winter-time Barleywine partnered with their local roaster Six Shooter Coffee, this 9% ABV beer will give you a nice "Malt Jacket" to keep the frost off ya.

San Diego IPAs are kind of a big deal, but AleSmith Party Tricks brings all the friends to the yard! Putting a twist on the normal SD citrus bomb AleSmith pulls a little trick with the hop selection that gives this grapefruit forward IPA a very strawberry-esque finish. There's a reason if you bring this beer to a party, you'd be smart to tuck a few cans in your cargo pants.

AleSmith has rolled out another year of their Coffee and Beer festival at the brewery, so this week we'll celebrate with some beers from that event. First, we kick things in gear with something light and brand new from AleSmith, Anvil Pilsner! Crisp and clean inspired from European lagers it's a refreshing way to end a Monday.

We end the week with "The King," the Alpha King. Every year brewery compete for the hoppiest most drinkable beer and Brewery X took to the top spot with their Slap And Tumble Double IPA. It's a bold 9% ABV with hints of Tropical fruit yet grounded in a sticky pine that makes this beer dangerous cause it drinks like a much lower ABV beer.

Brewery X knows how to bring the party! Another one of their Hard Seltzers, Watermelon Lime is on deck for today. It's a refreshing light and bubbly real watermelon tasting seltzer with a tangy lime finish thanks to the addition of lime.

Today's beer is infamous for more then just it's taste and hoppyness. Apparently it's also had a viral moment when a certain Beer Fest celebrity posted a picture with the logo. Aside from that Slap and Tickle is a easy drinking West Coast IPA with huge notes of Pineapple and guava but still delievers the citrusy and pineyness you'd expect from the style.

Trevor from Brewery X hinted yesterday that they were more than just IPAs and beer flavored beer. Hard Seltzers are a huge part of what brings all the folks to the tasting room. Today we get our first taste into that world with their Huckleberry Hard Seltzer that is fruity and jammy but still crazy drinkable!

Another new spot in San Diego doing it right is the Anaheim brewery known as Brewery X who just opened a brand new tasting room on Harbor Island. After yesterday's Big Game it's nice to start the week off light with an extremely crushable Mexican Style Lager that is S.O.K...

At the Weir Beer tasting room, you're gonna find a little something for everyone. Applying their creativity not just to beer but also their seltzers with this high ABV Hard Seltzer called Mojo Jojo Mojito. It's a 10% AVB Hard seltzer that takes flavor inspirations from the mojito cocktail.
