We celebrate episode 100 of the podcast and reflect on 20 years of friendship while discussing the 2021 film Cry Macho. This film is directed by, and stars, Clint Eastwood. 

In our 6th and final episode for October 2021 we return the Halloween franchise and watched Halloween III: Season of the Witch. This movie stars Tom Atkins, Stacey Nelkin, and Dan O'Herlihy. 

In week 5 of our Halloween 2021 movies we watched the 1955 film, the Night of the Hunter. This is a Charles Laughton directed movie starring Robert Mitchum and Shelley Winters.

Episode 4 of our October 2021 Horror film theme month. This week we watched the 1962, public domain film, Carnival of Souls (1962). 

Episode 3 of our October 2021 Horror Theme month. This week we watched the 2019 installment in the Critters franchise, Critters Attack. 

In the second episode of our 2021 Horror/Halloween theme month we watched the new Muppets Haunted Mansion TV Special. 

This is the start of our 2021 horror films. To start the theme month we started with the 1973 film The Exorcist. This movie was directed by William Friedkin, written by William Blatty, and stars Ellen Bursten, Max Von Sydow, Linda Blair, Lee J Cobb, and Jason Miller. This is a beautiful film that we recommend. 

This episodes focuses on Season 1 of the FX tv show Fargo. We approach this by discussing the 10 things Nate loves about this season. 

This is week 4 of 4 of our Ron Howard theme month.  This week we watched the 2020 movie Hillbilly Elegy starring Glen Close, Amy Adams, Bagriel Basso, Haley Bennet, Freida Pinto, and Bo Hopkins. We also recap the theme month and rank the movies we watched. 

In week 3 (of 4) of our Ron Howard theme month we flash forward to his 2013 film, Rush.

In this short episode we discuss the 2013 Robert Redford vehicle All Is Lost and the 2001 movie Wet Hot American Summer. 

Week two of four of our Ron Howard theme month. This week we watched the 1994 film The Paper.  This movie has a cast of recognizable names and faces and was a lot of fun. 

This is week one (of four) of our Ron Howard theme month.  To start the month we watched the 1991 movie Backdraft. This movie stars Kurt Russel, William Baldwin, Robert De Niro, Donald Sutherland, Jeniffer Jason Leigh, and Scott Glen. Great practical effects in this movie, but how well does the rest of it hold up?

In this episode Nate and Rob discuss their memories of 9/11, 9/11 related movies and media. 

Week 4 of 4 of our Westerns theme month.  For week 4 we went with a "classic" non John Wayne Western and settled on the 1957 3:10 to Yuma starring Glenn Ford, Van Hefling, Felicia Farr, Leora Dana, and Henry Jones. A great film and a good way to end the month. 

In week three of our Westerns theme month we watched the 1973 movie My Name is Nobody.  This movie was written by Sergio Leone and stars Terence Hill and Henry Fonda.  

For week 2 of our westerns theme month we watched the 1953 film Hondo starring John Wayne and Geraldine Ford. Also, Nate states how he wants to be eulogized. 

This is week one (of four) of our westerns theme month.  For week one we watched the 1992 Clint Eastwood directed Unforgiven. This film stars Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman and Richard Harris. This film one four Oscars and was nominated for several more. A great film that we enjoyed. 

In the final episode of our Nicholas Cage, the good and the bad, theme month we watched the 1996 movie The Rock.  This film was directed by Micheal Bay and stars, Nicholas Cage, Sean Connery, Ed Harris, John Spencer, and David Morse. 

In week 3 (of 4) of our Nicholas Cage, the good and the bad, theme month we watched the 2019 film Mandy. This film is directed by Panos Casmatos and stars Nicholas Cage, Andrea Riseborough, and a cast of characters.  This is a very unique film that may not be for everyone, but we appreciated the way they committed to the films premise. 

Week two (of four) of our Nicholas Cage theme month. This week we discuss the 1997 action film, Con Air.  This movie stars, obviously, Nicholas Cage, John Cusack, John Malkovich, and Steve Buscemi. In the outtake we also discuss whether Psycho is a Mothers Day movie. 

This is the start of our Nicholas Cage, The Good and The Bad month. The intent is to alternate between good and bad Nicholas Cage movies. Week one we are starting with a bad movie and we watched the 2016 movie, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. This movie starts Nicholas Cage and Tom Sizemore.

This is week four and our final episode in our Jessica Chastain theme month. This week we watched the 2020 release, Ava. This movie features Jessica Chastain, John Malkovich, Common, Gena Davis, and Collin Farrell.

In this shorter episode we discuss the 2020 release Unhinged.  This movie stars Russel Crow and Caren Pistorius.

In week three (of four) of our Jessica Chastain theme month we discuss the 2012 movie Zero Dark Thirty.
