Week 3 of our 2022 Mystery Pack Month. This week we watched the 1999 movie For Love of the Game. The movie centers on Detroit Tiger pitcher Billy Chapel (Kevin Costner) who has been pitching for 19 years. Chapel is suddenly faced with a series of choices about his career and his personal life. 

In week two of our 2022 Mystery Pack month we watched the 1996 movie Independence Day. We are more than 25 years from its original release, will it hold up today?

This is the start of our 2022 Mystery Pack month. The first movie we watched out of the mystery pack was the 2007 christian movie The Life Before Her Eyes starring Uma Thurman and Evan Rachel Wood.

This episode is the first of a new segment here on the podcast. Nate and I will periodically assign each other a movie as "homework." We will take the movie home, watch it, and then we will meet back up and record a shorter episode about the movie. To start this segment Nate assigned Rob the 1973 movie The Sting.

In week 4 of our Preston Sturges theme month we watched the 1942 movie Palm Beach Story. 

In week 3 of our Preston Sturges theme month we discuss the 1941 film Sullivan's Travels. This film often been referred to as an explanation/apology as to why Sturges made so many comedies. This is an absolutely beautiful film we both really enjoyed.
