RK3 Podcast

Going back to the roots with a slow paced melodic techno mix, similar to the stuff that started the podcast back in the autumn of 2019. Happy anniversary everyone! And you thought those leading zeroes would never get used…

Something a bit deeper. Melodic Techno grooves, a bit of breaks, and some darker tracks to ease into winter. 124bpm for your ears

Another from 2006, inspired by the tunes I was hearing in Amsterdam during a messy weekend away. This is the start of me really getting into that DC10 style minimal, that I was rocking for a few years. Lots of loops and tweaks.

You know I can't stay away from a bit of disco. Or a bit of house. Or a bit of housey disco. Or a good house party. Enjoy!

Quick mix of the last of the summery prog house tunes I've had sat on the hard drive. I'll be crate digging next week...

Still crawling through the summer's bangers. Slightly less energy in this mix, and a couple of remixes of old classics that you may have heard me play before.

I think I did this mix about a month after the previous FTA, but it's a slightly harder, more techy sound. Anyway, I've run it through the re-master-a-tron and tried to save it from the horrible brickwall limiting I put on the original. (Remember the loudness wars? What a time to be alive...)

There's obviously been an improvement in the drugs on the club-scene; BPMs are creeping back up, and there are loads of decent, proggy house tracks. It's been great fun crate-digging over the last few weeks! Enjoy.

Lots of bangers floating about atm, including some remixes of tunes I used to play a decade or so ago. Turn the sub up, and let this wash over you. Progressive house for your ears. 👌

Fluke are back! So I had to start a mix with their new EP, despite it being 100bpm. Enjoy.

I love this deep tech stuff from 2006/7. I used to play loads of it. Great to loop and layer... I only had a 192kbps MP3 of this mix, for some reason, so I decided to remaster it. Enjoy!

I got asked to play another birthday party, so here's a section of the warm-up. 80s bangers!

Some nice progressive breaks tracks that I've been collecting over the last few months. Enjoy!

Sun’s out, so lets crack open a cider, get our shades on, and enjoy some afternoon drinking…

Spring’s coming and I’m out of retirement for a few gigs to bring summer in, so I’m trawling the crate for some mid-afternoon grooves to get people nodding and chin stroking. This one’s an eclectic mix of stuff that’s perfect for the garden…

Some lovely dub, deep tech and 127 BPM Techno the climbs up to a Dave Clarke banger.

Easing into some progressive house, before I turn my attention back to the techno.

Kinda forgot how much deep house I used to play, but I was trawling through the archives and this popped out of a dusty folder and fell into the speakers: Smooth deep house grooves, from autumn of 2010; a mix I did exclusively for my old podcast, RK2. Enjoy.

Something nice and proggy, cos hey it’s been a while, to keep your ears warm until spring arrives…

One of my favourite mix tapes from back-in-the-day was originally mixed by Mike Cosford as part of the Obsession: Progressive Excellence 6 pack. I've never had a decent copy of this, mine was a copy-of-a-copy-of-a-copy, that was slightly chewed, and then ripped to 128kbps MP3 sometime in the late 90s. So I bought the tracks I was missing on vinyl, sampled them, cleaned them up, practiced where Mik...

Going old-school for a bit. Here's the first mix I recorded on CDs, back in 2006-ish? Old school progressive house.

Managed to keep a lid on this for about 30 minutes, and then it explodes. Couple of absolute bangers in the middle. The sound of my party season :D

I’ve been slowly trawling through my vinyl, cleaning stuff, and doing a bit of organising. Found a load of white labels and mash-ups that I’ve never used, so… time to record a vinyl mix! Expect a few more of these :D

Another dark-tinged melodic techno mix, leaning toward pea-time, cos there’s just so much good, dark music about atm. Turn those Xmas lights off abd lock in.
