Stephen wraps up this entire series on Acts 2 by looking at how an Acts 2 church should display the FLAVOUR of God as we seek God's FAVOUR. This may be the end of this series on Acts 2, but our prayer is that this is just the beginning of our journey into being an Acts 2 church!

An Acts 2 church is a church renowned for Praising God. This is not something we need to preach about, but something we need to practice. This service and sermon was interspersed with preaching and praise. We have stitched the preaching parts together for this video.

Acts 2 describes this brand new community of faith as a community that was so radically generous that there was no need among them. This is an incredible challenge and invitation for us today!

The church in Acts 2 lived lives of prayer and devotion to the Presence of Christ in community and the breaking of bread. They also saw great works of God's power in and through their community.

Acts 2 describes a community that are deeply bound to each other because they are deeply bound to Christ. This challenges and invites us to further devotion to fellowship.

Acts 2 describes this incredible new church community who were continually devoted to God's Word.

Sizwe shows us from Acts 2 how when we are desperate, we cling to corrupt idols in a corrupt world. However, in our desperation, we need to cling to the life that is Jesus!

God's intention is that the flow of God's Spirit starts with us, flows to the next generation and also flows to those who are far from God. Today's challenge is that we become unblocked so God's love and power can flow.

Many of us have prayed for more of God's Presence. While we cannot control God, we CAN control how we relate and respond to God. Today we look at things we can do that will align ourselves with God's Presence and remove obstacles that get in the way of more of God's Presence in our lives.

Today Steve helps us understand why baptism is such a celebration of the work Christ has done in us.

The first step towards Christ and Christlikeness is repentance.

Steve looks at the part of Peter's sermon in Acts 2 where Peter shares about the Good News of the Resurrection.

On this Easter Sunday, Steve helps us see how Jesus reigns and rules from God's throne as the risen lamb!

As we look at the death of Jesus, we see how Jesus alone is worthy.

Steve shos us how Peter declares the Gospel in Acts 2, helping us grow our own understanding and trust in the Gospel.

Today Steve helps us see that everyone has to reckon with the person of Jesus. Concerning the kinds of things he said, we cannot remain neutral.

Steve helps us see how the age we are living in is an age defined by the giving of the Spirit to ALL of God's people, not just a select few.

In Acts 2, Peter stands up in the middle of the action and preaches the Gospel powerfully. Sizwe shows the backstory of how Jesus restored Peter so that he could stand with such courage on this day.

What we notice in Acts 2 is that the Spirit comes down, and the message goes out! We need to learn to be people who are filled with God and who - in turn - become life-giving to others around us with the life we have received.

As we conclude our week of prayer and fasting, Steve shares where things are at concerning the building, but more importantly, he shares perspective on what the Lord is doing in our midst as a church.

When the Spirit of God gave life to the church 2000 years ago, the church was filled and empowered in order to fully be the Body of Christ through which Jesus continues his ministry. The invitation and the challenge for us is to be filled and empowered by the same Spirit in order to continue being the vessel through whom Jesus continues his powerful ministry today.

As we begin a deep dive into what made the early church of Acts 2 so powerful, our desire is for God to continue in us the same story he started in them 2000 years ago.

We look at what Jesus calls the Greatest Commandments and learn how to put First Things First as we move into 2026.
