What does it mean to be made in the Image of God? It's a question theologians have wrestled with for centuries. As we explore Genesis 1, we focus on three aspects of this image. We have been given dominion over the world, we were created for relationship with God, and we were created as moral beings. Because of sin, the image was corrupted. Through Jesus, we see it restored.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1 tells us that God’s creation was good. At the end of the Bible, the Lord will bring full restoration to his creation.

Genesis 1 teaches us many things about God. From the beginning of the Bible, we are pointed to a powerful Lord who created everything. We also learn that we have a good God who created a good world.
