Have you ever felt overwhelmed by a task because it was "too big" for you? Good news: you're not alone. The bible is filled with plenty of people in your shoes. How did they manage and prepare? They Fasted Today Wesley discusses how Jesus used fasting to "silence the voice of his critics and magnify the voice of God." We can too!

"The things you do, do something to you." Last weekend our own crew mate Tayson Ingersoll guided our Lead In by discussing what fasting does to us.

Have you ever felt like, "I'm sorry" isnt enough? It's not like the other person is demanding more but your body just wants to say more?  For Israel they responded to their sin by fasting because it's a prayer better than words.

Yes we know that changes requires change but do we actually process it?  Do we count the cost of change or do we just do the same things hoping for a different result? Do you remember traveling as a kid and you could fall asleep in one place and wake up in another?  I wish my spiritual journey could be that simple.  Sadly we often overestimate what we can accomplish in a week and underestimate what we can accomplish in a year.  What would it look like to be less focused on perfection and more concerned with Holy Consistency?

Once upon a time people asked is Christianity true? Now people are asking, "is Christianity good?" We believe in spite of all the bad news of terrible events Jesus is good news for Women At Reunion we hope to be one o the safest places for women to grow in their faith, leadership and influence of our church and city. This is a bit of a transition week as we end our series on the Holy Spirit and begin our advent.  How do we know The Spirit is speaking to us?  This just might be the #1 wish list item on our Christmas List?  Wes examines 1 John 4 & Acts 15 as examples of how the early Church discerned the voice of God.

When life is chaotic do you stay calm?  Jesus invites his apprentices to relax when they hear the new he's leaving because he's sending them a guide.  We begin a new series of discussions this week on the Holy Spirit..  The Spirit who will guide us into truth.  The Spirit who will guide us into a postion of calm in the midst of our chaos?  I guess we'll see.
