Americans hit $14.6 trillion of consumer debt in 2021. Let’s talk about it and how this impacts our efforts to Be the Church.

John 14 and Psalm 147 gives a glimpse into how to please God.

We worship Jesus. We don’t worship worship.

This episode we discuss the upcoming Sunday services. We also explain why. The harsh reality is that God never blesses us just for our sake. He blesses us so we will in turn bless others.

Jesus says that if we His true disciples we’ll keep his instructions. We’ll also know the truth and be set free. John 9 Jesus makes mud for a blind man and instincts him to go wash in a pool.

Following Jesus encompasses our entire life. How we deal with our physical life is important as well.

Jesus walks into Jerusalem near the The Sheep gate and into what was a temple of Asclepius. Jesus lovingly confronts someone and heals this person. Jesus still does this for us as well.

Following Jesus can be described in the reality that we are reconciled with God through Salvation from Jesus. He paid the penalty of our sins. We also get to live in relationship with Jesus. And represent Jesus well to others who aren’t reconciled to God yet.

This month we’ll be reading 2 Peter, John, and 1 John along with some Psalm and some Proverbs.

We learned about how our approach to life matters. Fridays we’ve been looking through the life of John Wesley and his expectations. This week we explore why positivity is crucial to a successful life especially as we live on mission for Jesus.

Wednesday’s we discuss a spiritual discipline as we model our life after the life of Jesus. We have a glimpse into the life of Jesus. Jesus has an amazing connection to the father and served people around Him like no one else.

This week we are reading through part of the Psalms. We see the connection in 2 Timothy and Psalm 118 & 119. Paul leans on the hole that the Psalms offer as the point to Yahweh.

We explore another example of John Wesley’s impact on our world. John Wesley discipled and trains “common people” to advance the Kingdom of Heaven in England. Part of his training was humility.

Let’s be an authentic church and be honest with each other and especially with Jesus.

If you’re following along in our church’s Bible reading plan we are starting 2 Timothy today. Here’s a bit of an overview as you start your reading.

Each week we end our church service with this phrase, “Go and be the church”. This podcast is made up of segments that will help us be the church.

Think about the reality that humanity’s first day on this earth was a Sabbath day, a day of rest. Our identity should be found in our connection with the Father not our work.

Scripture should shape our lives. It shaped Paul’s life and ministry throughout the Roman Empire. What shapes your worldview?

Jesus models for us Spiritual habits that helped Him stay on mission. If we say we’re a Christian or a follower of Jesus we should practice these. When we do we engage in a spiritual battle for our soul. We are becoming more like Jesus when we live by these habits.

We give an overview of our plan to read 1st & 2nd Timothy along with some Psalms. Our memory verse for the month is 2 Timothy 1:7.
