Join us as we begin a new sermon series in the gospel of John! In the midst of all the trials and tribulations of this world, God himself has come and dwelt with us. Is that not the good news that we need today? 

Paul calls the Philippians and us to respond to Christ's kingship by living obedient lives of humble quiet service that God will use to display his glory to the world and bring about his kingdom

God's revealing and purifying light shows us the reality that we have all done wrong, but also provides the solution in the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Jesus warns strongly of the dangers of money and reminds us that the antidote for these dangers is realizing the eternal inheritance that awaits us and resting in the care of our Heavenly Father

We know we should pray and we hear incredible stories of answered prayers, but prayer is hard for most of us. How do we learn to pray and experience God's healing power in our lives and the lives of others.

Hear God's invitation for real rest for our souls and how we can cultivate that rest in our lives

Most of us want to be different and better people, but how does that change actually happen? The change starts with God's work in our hearts, and that calls us to worship: a focus on God both on Sunday and throughout the week

The Bible does not give us the definitive "why" answer to suffering, but the prophet Joel reflects upon a locust plague and shows us the "what" we should do and more importantly, reminds us of the presence of God in the midst of our suffering

We may feel like we are wandering in uncertainty, but God knows exactly where we are and where he is taking us in the end, giving us the confidence to obediently follow his path

Daniel confesses his own sin and the sin of his people, and we can follow his example because God keeps his covenant with his people and he is bringing sin to an end one day

God shows Daniel a precise vision of future evil to come to God's people, giving us confidence to cling to him and him alone in the face of evil.

In Revelation, God pulls back the curtain and lets us see the heavenly perspective on the meaning of Christmas. Christ has come and Christ has won, so we have strength to finish the book.

After seeing three flawed kings of earth, we get the vision of the ultimate king from heaven and find that he is, in fact, the ultimate expression of true humanity, and he makes us more fully human as we follow him

The familiar story of Daniel in the Lions Den really shows us more about the powerless king Darius and reminds us that we do not need to fear human power, nor should we put our hope in human power.

The first Sunday of Advent, we see that even the great King Nebuchadnezzar needed to be humbled by God and realize that all that he had was a gift from the King of Kings. We too can and must walk humbly by recognizing God's greatness

We learn from Joshua how memorials and acts of thanksgiving rightly orient our hearts to fear God alone.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stand firm to worship God alone and are dramatically rescued. We see the call to stand firm in our faith, even in the face of temptation, knowing that our God has entered the fire for us.

Paul finds himself shipwrecked on the island of Malta, but even in this time of suffering, God's beautiful kingdom breaks through with healing and the community of believers, giving Paul courage and giving us courage as well. 

Paul is shipwrecked on his way to Rome, and we are reminded that God's strength overcomes all obstacles

Paul proclaims the gospel message to King Agrippa, and calls us all to move from darkness to the light of the God who gives hope.

On trial before the Roman governor Festus, Paul makes his appeal to Caesar and we see that God is the one authoring this story, so we can use our rights to pursue justice for the sake of mission.

Paul defends himself before Felix, but is left in prison in uncertainty, and we learn to persevere in faithfulness because God is the one who gives us certainty.

As Paul defends himself before the Jewish council and then is spirited away to Caesarea to save his life, we see that God uses enemies, friends, and even governments to accomplish his purposes.

Paul faces the angry crowd in Jerusalem and points us to the God who transforms His people, showing us what that transformed life looks like.
