Paul and Silas continue to Thessalonica and Berea, preaching the gospel and being driven out of town by mobs. As we see their perseverance, we see that it comes not from within them, but from the unstoppable grace of God that compels them and us to go forward.

Paul and Silas are unjustly beaten and imprisoned, but God comes to their rescue with an earthquake. From this story we are reminded of God's power and called to be on his side by keeping our eyes on God, fully believing in Jesus, and advocating for justice.

God won't allow Paul to preach in Asia or Bithynia, but he has prepared a different plan and gone before him to prepare Lydia's heart in Philippi. We too must walk in God's plans even when they don't make much sense to us.

After the great moment of unity in the Jerusalem council, we see a division between Paul and Barnabas and some inconsistency as Paul circumcises Timothy. Yet God's strength prevails and encourages us to take heart and keep our trust and focus on Him.

The Jerusalem council shows us the path to and value in the church, founded on the grace of God shown to all kinds of people

As Paul and Barnabas complete their first missionary journey, we see that God is supreme over other gods, over suffering, and even over our weaknesses. As we recognize his supremacy, we walk in His paths, rather than our own.

God's grace and his plan for the world is so overwhelmingly great that it demands a response. In this part of Acts, we see the responses of three different groups of people and consider how God is calling us to respond.

Paul and Barnabas speak in the synagogue at Antioch in Pisidia. They remind us that God has taken action and urge us to continue in His grace.
