Restore Houston Church Sermons

Religion EN ↓ 25 episodes

At the heart of every sermon we preach is this simple truth – “grace restores all things”. Our world is broken. We all feel it. Things are not as they should be. And yet, there is a veiled beauty at work in our world – softening our hearts, teaching us to love each other, even our enemies, restoring our lives, giving us rest, filling our hearts with wonder and forgiving our wrongs – that beauty is grace! In all our teachings, in every sermon, in all our worship, and in all of our community we too participate in this veiled beauty as we learn to love and follow Jesus.

This week, your feed is likely filled with calls for stronger men, braver men, less apathetic men. But here’s what’s missing: a call for whole men. Vulnerable men. Connected men. The truth? Men are struggling—but not because they’re weak, lack courage, or are too apathetic. From a young ag...

Born Again: The End of Self-Defense 23.06.2025

Nicodemus came to Jesus at night, hiding behind status and intellect. But Jesus didn't entertain his self-protection. Instead, He offered a new birth—one that disarms pride, dismantles fear, and invites us into the Spirit’s wild, freeing work. Being born again isn’t about having the right answers. It’s about having the courage to be vulnerable, to start over, and to step into the light. This sermo...

Two Lies That Distort Love 23.06.2025

First, when we hear “I love you” from someone who doesn’t truly mean it, we learn to confuse manipulation or self-interest with real love. Second, when we are genuinely loved, but evil convinces us we’re not. These lies do deep damage to our souls — distorting our trust in God’s love for us. The cross protects us from both kinds of corruption. This Sunday, we’ll confront how these lies have shaped...

Motherhood can be a relentless job. The pressure to do everything perfectly, to meet every need, to protect — it can feel overwhelming. Sometimes it’s like having only a cup to give when what’s needed is a bathtub. You can pour out everything you have and still feel like it’s not enough. The guilt can be crippling. Stories We Got Wrong: Was Eve Created For Adam? 23.06.2025

Eve was created from Adam — but does that mean she was created for him? Why did the serpent approach her instead of Adam? We've lost sight of who Eve truly was, and it’s cost us more than we realize. We've buried Eve under lies of inferiority — and it’s poisoned how we see women, leadership, and even the image of God. It’s time to reclaim the strength, wisdom, and fierce hope God planted in her fr...
