In Christianity, we read, say, and sing the world "Holy" quite often, but what does that world really mean? If it's so central to the Christian life, what does it look like, and how does it intersect with grace? We discuss in this sermon.

We close out this series by coming back to three fundamental truths. God hears, God is good, and God is faithful.

God sent Jesus to bring us near to him. Because of this great act of grace, we can and should approach God with confidence with our requests.

Prayer is a great gift, but we can be tempted to lose heart when it feels like we're waiting a long time. Jesus tells a parable to encourage us and to keep us in prayer.

To start off the new year, we're seeking to build up our practice of prayer. To help us with this, we look at Jesus' words on how to prayer, particularly the Lord's Prayer. What does Jesus include and what can this tell us about what we should be praying for too?

Paul encourages Christians to do everything in the name of Jesus. Some things are obvious to us, we pray in the name of Jesus, we worship in the name of Jesus. But what about buying a home or working? How do we do those in the name of Jesus? We discuss the beauty of bearing Jesus's name as we prepare for the new calendar year ahead.

The great light of Jesus appeared and the first ones to be told were lowly shepherds. Why might God have picked shepherds and what does that tell us about who He is and what he was to do?

We all deal with darkness in different ways, but none of these ways actually solve the problem. Only the great light that came to earth on that first Christmas can really save us and transform the darkness that we experience.

In our previous sermon, we discussed how the Church can be a place of light in a dark world. This week, we discuss what role we have as individuals and families in taking that light with us as we go about our neighborhoods and places of living.

When a plague hit Egypt, darkness was everywhere except where God's people were. This captures the reality that where God's people gather, light exists for the world. How do we embody this high calling as being a people of light? We discuss in week 3 of our series.

We explore Jesus' reaction and what it tells us about his character as our judge and how we approach those that we dislike.
