We open this series by examining how God's care in the book of Ruth shows us his care for the seemingly ordinary struggles in our life and His willingness to work in the midst of our messiness. We reflect on how we can lean on Jesus in life's messes while looking to bring Christ's love into the messes of others.

We're all too used to empty words and broken promises. However, we have a God who means every word he says and keeps every promise he makes. We are called to hold onto this truth and to embody it with our words as well, giving the world people who are reliable and dependable in their words.

We know that the victory is won and Jesus is coming back, but for now we wait. We explore the final words of the Bible for guidance on what we do during this waiting, and how we remember the past, live in the present, and look to the future.

When in a battle, there is great joy when the king comes to fight and win for His people. We sing joy to the world because on the first Christmas, the king came to save us. We discuss what this means for us and how to let "every heart prepare him room."

What will the end of this spiritual battle look like and what hope do we get from it? We explore Jesus' final defeat of Satan and the celebratory wedding feast that will accompany it!

In the battle against Satan, we need to be alert and prepared. One danger that can distract us is the worries and anxieties of life. We discuss what we as Christians do with these and how can we be freed from their weight so we can better serve our neighbor and fight the good fight?

Part of Israel's reckoning after exile was acknowledging and confessing their sins that got them into that situation. The Church certainly hasn't been perfect and needs to be ready to confess its sins and strive to do better, all while knowing that in Christ, it is His bride, holy and blameless.
