Today Jonathan Hopkins delivers a midrash (commentary on today's torah portion) giving examples from when he was a kid using a Commodore 64, as an adult assembling a new dresser, and going back to the Torah portion, Aaron's two sons Abihu and Nadab destroyed by heavenly fire in Leviticus 10. 

Today we again welcome guest speakers Rabbi Jerry and Jo Miller, this is their third visit to Remnant. Rabbi Jerry teaches on the importance of Joy, and lists four points that show how an attitude of joy improves our thinking. Jo Miller brings us a prophetic word. 

Today Philip Snell continues his series on the Holy Spirit and the gifts of The Spirit, including prophecy. He begins with the definition of prophecy and goes on to talk about the two types of prophecy, and the three purposes of prophecy. Included is a great story from the life of Charles Spurgeon. He concludes with the dangers of confirmation bias. 

Today Philip Snell interrupts his series on the gifts of The Spirit to deliver a message, delayed from the Hanukkah and New Year season, on "Oaths and Vows". The Bible shows us that because of the greatness of God, we should be careful about making oaths or vows, since we as humans are so limited compared to God. 

Today we are pleased to have guest speakers Dr. Stephen and Pamela Guise. Stephen tells some amusing stories of his early life as an "Episco-pagan", and later becoming a Satanist, and finally an "Evangelical Atheist", before he was saved by arguing with a Christian man for hours. Pamela shares some prophetic words, and finally Amber Williams also shares some prophetic words. 

In his message today, Brian Fritz talks about the meaning of the Feast of Dedication (Chanukkah) as applied to the Old Testament (Tanach), as applied to the New Testament (Brit Chadasha), and as applied to prophesied events yet to come. 

Philip Snell continues his series on the gifts of the Ruach (Holy Spirit), urging us today to fervently desire the gifts of The Spirit, so that God might give them to us as He so chooses. 

Philip Snell continues his series on the gifts of the Ruach (Holy Spirit), today discussing the question of whether miraculous gifts still occur in the present day, or whether they stopped altogether in centuries past when the original apostles died. 

Today Philip Snell teaches (mostly from 1 Corinthians 13, the "weddings chapter") on why the gifts of the Ruach (Holy Spirit) must be used in agape love, lest they be useless or worse. Philip shows that 1 Corinthians 13 goes way past just weddings. 

Today Philip Snell delivers his message on grace, and why gratitude is important. Philip shows that if we understand our redeemed position in the grace of Yeshua, gratitude comes naturally. 

Today, guest speaker Lon Wiksell from Kingdom Living in Kansas City teaches why the parable of The Prodigal Son may be the most important verse in the Bible. 

Philip Snell continues his discussion of deacons ( shammash , servant-leaders), based on 1 Timothy 3 and the qualifications for deacons listed there. We apologize for a 2 or 3 minute gap in today's recording due to technical difficulties. The 2 or 3 minute gap has been replaced with 2 or 3 seconds of pink noise for easy recognition. 

For his message today, Philip Snell was inspired by the book Deacons: How They Serve and Strengthen the Church by Matt Smethurst. In Messianic Judaism, instead of deacon, we usually say shamash (servant or servant-leader).  Philip talks about how shamashim are chosen, what is expected of them, and also some examples of what happened when the need for shamashim first occurred in the early days...

Today's Torah Service message is given by Charlie Novarro, and talks about how God rescued Moses and the Hebrews from Egypt, and in the same way we must trust and obey God to rescue us through the shed blood of Yeshua (Jesus). 

Today's message (delayed from October 22, 2022) is given by Jerry and Jo Miller, visiting us once again from Kingdom Living of Lenexa, Kansas. Jerry talks about the importance of grace in our lives, and gives examples such as a confrontation years after WW2 between Corrie Ten Boom (an Auschwitz survivor) and a man who was a brutal guard at Auschwitz. 

Philip Snell talks about why the feast of Sukkot is a holiday of rejoicing, and about what Solomon meant when he said "...all is vanity...", and about where Yeshua (Jesus) was when he said "All those who are thirsty, let them come to me." 

On this sabbath between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur,  Jonathan Hopkins delivers a message on the subject of teshuvah (return). This is a timely message because the general theme of the high holy days is repentance and returning to God. 

Special guests Rabbi Jerry Miller and his wife Jo, are with us today from the Tikkun organization. Rabbi Jerry delivers today's message on the greatness of God's forgiveness, and Jo has a prophetic word for the congregation.

Delayed from Saturday, September 10, 2022, Philip Snell continues with the 'New Members' series of the last few weeks. Today's message is, "The Ruach (Holy Spirit) - Every Member A Shamash (Servant). The vision here is that every member of the congregation is gifted to serve in some capacity, as described in the 'different parts of the body' chapter of 1 Corinthians 12:12-32. 

Today Brian Fritz delivers the Torah service message based on today's Torah portion, starting with baby Moses in Egypt, which we join already in progress due to technical difficulties. 

Joe George concludes his six-part series on foundational theological principles with a double presentation: part five, the meaning and purpose of the Cross, and part six, the factual basis for believing in the resurrection. 

Instead of the usual message, today we present the audio of the entire service (with minor deletions for brevity). Today's Sabbath service is special, not only because it is a Torah service, but also because it is a Bat Mitzvah service for the George family (Tsuriya).
