Jesus calls us to a life that is different and better than any other. It is a life with eternal purpose.

What makes a person happy? What produces joy? To me it seems that almost all people think, “If I get this I’ll be happy.” So, we’re always grabbing. But, do you know what Jesus says? Die to yourself and you will gain your life. It will become your joy to lower yourself and elevate others.

God calls His followers to all types of things. One of those is to help take care of people in need. This Mother’s Day we held a Compassion Sunday. What better gift to give a mom than to come alongside her and help with her kids.

One of the greatest problems in the church today is in the name of truth, we treat others like trash. “Truth without love is brutality and love without truth is hypocrisy.” What would it look like if we embraced Jesus’ model of culturally difficult situations?

In this message, we examine how Jesus was hailed as King, mocked as King, and confirmed as King. A constant battle we all face is how to lead our lives. Sometimes we make good decisions, but often we don’t. The pressure of leading is rough. Because Jesus is King, you don’t have to be. You can give Him control of your heart.

Brent Baxter presents the story of Jesus' death on the cross and subsequent resurrection. We reflected upon His ultimate sacrifice for our sins and thanked God for allowing Believers to have a new life in Christ because He lives!

Pride stands above others and looks down. The humility of Jesus shows us that true humility is God’s image shining to its fullest.

Jesus is the best when it comes to healing. Large crowds often gathered to be in His presence, longing to see a miracle. He always prioritized spiritual brokenness over physical brokenness. He was different!

Jesus is unique. He is the one who searches for you, knows you, bought you, protects you, won’t abandon you, and will keep you forever! He’s the best. Jesus is Him!

Jesus is the greatest! The best example we have of forgiveness comes from the cross. In striving to be like our leader, we must excel when it comes to the way we forgive others.

 When we see others as God sees them, we put a tremendous amount of value on their lives. 

We honor God when we do our best. Aware that it is Jesus we are serving, we don’t want to offer Him anything but excellence. He is our treasure!

The life of Jesus was marked by sacrifice. As His followers, we must agree that the idea of reducing so that others can upgrade is biblical. What we choose to sacrifice for Jesus on earth has implications for eternity.

We believe God owns it all. He entrusts us to manage what He gives us. We desire to utilize the resources we have for His glory. The gospel calls us to spend until we are poor.

We believe that God is always working. He desires to transform lives. Therefore, we are going to trust in what He can do. At Refuge, we embrace the Core Value of Anticipation.

Serving others is an essential part of following Jesus. We desire to be the greatest of servants to our community. In this message, Pastor Greg explores the way to approach others and open the doors of ministry in our lives.

At Refuge Community Church, we believe that every follower of Jesus has a story to tell. As we tell our faith story and serve our community, God will open doors for others to come to know Jesus and discover their story of faith. The gospel has no limits to whom we share with.

Our world is dying for a word of encouragement. We can offer it! Encouragement builds others up and helps them see their identity in Jesus. In this message, Pastor Greg explores what it means to speak life into others.

The calling that God has given us to carry out is to live fully surrendered to Him, offering a message of hope to our community and the world. The ultimate act of surrender to God is rebellion against lies: the lies that the enemy has spoken to you, and the lies that you have told yourself about yourself.
