Refuge celebrates its first year!

The gospel calls us to do things to the best of our ability. Doing our best in every area of our life honors God.

We had the privilege of welcoming a special guest, James Gonzalez, and his family this Sunday. James shared with us the unique calling God placed on his family. We encourage you to listen and be inspired by what god is doing on the other side of the world!

Jesus is our hope when there is no hope.

A cloudy mirror can greatly affect how we perceive ourselves. Likewise, a great filter on social media can greatly affect how we see ourselves. Without a standard to measure ourselves, our self-image will always be blurred. 

The highest-priced gift you can give during the next year is a year of service to Jesus.

Every time someone gossips, they cause great damage. In addition to sinning against God by disobeying his Word they also inflict damage on others. Instead of tearing down, let’s build people up! 

Negativity is nothing new. We tend to argue for our “rights,” demand our way, and oppose anyone who disagrees with us. Negativity in a Christian’s attitude means he refuses to see life from God’s perspective. But Jesus said, "I've come that you may have life and life to the fullest. The mind governed by the flesh is death. But the mind governed by the spirit is life and joy and peace.” Let’s not b...

Comparison is a trap where there’s never a sense of satisfaction because we always want more. The only comparison we should consider is if we are more like Jesus today than yesterday.

All followers of Jesus have the opportunity to prepare the way for others to encounter Jesus. In this message, we examine the calling God places on His people.

We close out “Turn the Light On” with a great reminder that God never sends us somewhere alone. He is always with us.

When we follow God’s prompting and act with generosity, it reminds us of what God has done for us through Jesus, brings joy into our lives, and extends us beyond what we are otherwise capable of.

Most of us struggle handling our money successfully. While our culture tells us to invest in stuff, God calls to invest in the things that He is concerned about.

Sometimes we fly through our marriage giving it little intentional thought. Darkness creeps into marriages in the church just like it does outside the church. It’s time we get intentional and turn the light on. Our marriages are an example to others of the way that Jesus loves the church.

Worship minister Chase speaks on what worship means on Sunday mornings. He expresses the importance of why worship in the Christian life nourishes and equips the soul.

At one time or another, everyone finds themselves at a low point in life. Whether it is due to personal sin, other people’s actions, or even Satan himself, Jesus is our hope to break the chains that bind us.

Jesus calls us to a different and better life than any other. It is a life with eternal purpose.
